Extremely disappointed with the after-sales service at JB Hi-Fi.nnI purchased a computer with the JB Hi-Fi Extra Care Plan, and also expected basic warranty support. JB Hi-Fi promises that if a repair takes longer than 10 business days, the product should be replaced. That commitment has not been honoured.nnMy computer was first submitted for repair on 15 April 2025. It was returned on 19 May with the issue unresolved and new physical damage. I returned it again, and by now late June, I still haven’t received the product back or any clear update.nnThe product is still within JB Hi-Fi’s Minimum Voluntary Warranty period until 24 February 2027, meaning JB Hi-Fi is directly responsible under both its own policy and Australian Consumer Law. Despite this, I’ve been advised to contact the manufacturer Lenovo myself — which completely defeats the point of purchasing from JB Hi-Fi in the first place.nnEven during the first repair, store staff noted that they could not replicate or test the issue in-store due to a lack of equipment. As a result, they refused to investigate further and insisted the product had to be assessed by the manufacturer’s technician.nnTo make things worse, the store manager refused to inspect the faulty product or take any action, stating that they must wait for the manufacturer’s technician. This is not acceptable, as the claim was made through JB Hi-Fi and not the manufacturer.nnOver two months without resolution is unacceptable. I’ve been patient and followed the proper process, but JB Hi-Fi has failed to deliver the level of support and accountability that it advertises.nnI strongly recommend others to think twice before relying on the Extra Care Plan or even the standard warranty. In my experience, these guarantees are not honoured when it matters most.
Got a great deal on a new phone. Thanks to James for spending over an hour helping me set up a new phone plan. He was super helpful, knowledgeable and had great customer service not only to me but to all other customers around. Thanks James!
Service was exceptional. Mark's explained my options, and without being pushy, allowed me time to think things through. All the time, he was patient and able to answer my questions.
Just shopping for a keyboard and some display port cables. It's a tough gig for retail workers. No one wants to be pestered with overly helpful/intrusive salespeople/greeters bit they got the balance okay when I visited this time even though their recommendations weren't quite right. Not the cheapest, not the best but pretty good. Cables were obscenely expensive if I wasn't in a hurry I would not buy them there
I try and avoid this store like a virus.nOver the last few years I hav had to purchase some things.nTv, iPad, sound system.nThis store is super good taking ur money.....nBUT, wen it comes to consumer protection , warranties and replacements.... They will try and weasel out of whatever they can like they receive a gold star for not providing correct information on the replacement of faulty goods. Consumer protection.nRecently I had the jb HiFi online store cancel a urgent purchase apple pencil for my business needs. I paid express to get it the next day. I got a receipt showing my purchase. The next day I looked for a tracking number. JB hifi cancelled my purchase for some unknown reason. I used my own PayPal for payment. They said it was fraud , with no real confirmation on that reason for cancellation.nnThe next day I had to drive 35mins the the shop and buy the Apple Pencil pro I attempted to buy the day before. Total was 1.5hr round trip from where I live to the jb hifi store maroochydore home.nI bought my iPad pro 12.9 gen 4 tablet to the store . A Staff member sold me a wrong product. Even with me bringing in my iPad.nnI realized the pin wasn't compatible 3 hrs later, when I was home.nI rang and asked for the manager Tracey. I informed her of her staffs mistake.nTracey didn't care about , her staffs mistake, my time and the 2 times driving to the store. 3hrs of drive time.nwhen I originally ordered the apple pencil online.nnDisgusting.nnI rang JB hifi and asked Tracey to call me back .nnNo call back at all.nnThanks Tracey
