I enjoy coming here on occasion,maybe 2 or 3 times a year,not very often. But when I do I like the Gold class recliners,and the snacks. Overall i' ve had a good experience over the years, it does get a bit expensive,and people on their phones and noisy kids can be quite annoying when you are trying to watch a movie. I usually prefer to stream movies at home, I'll only come here if I really want to see a movie. Update: cinema 3 really needs a refurbish,seats,walls and carpet have seen better days and it smells alittle.
It's a nice place to go on either a hot or rainy day. It has a good selection of movies and although a little old it's keep very clean. The people who work there are exceptional. The young men at ticket counter/ kiosk are a real shinning hope for the future of the service industry. Well done . Orana treasure them
I booked my tickets online for a 3D movie. Now this movie I have vowed to watch at the cinema on 3D only!!! I’ve been looking forward to its release for well over a year. I booked the 3D session and paid nearly $80 for my son his friend and my husband and I. We get to the Cinema and are told on arrival that they have run out of 3D glasses and it will not be a 3D movie!!! I wanted to leave and use the tickets another time for something else. It was really important to me to see it in 3D, really really important to me!! I was told that the tickets were non refundable and could be used another time. I understand if it was my error, but this was not my error, I was a paying customer and it completely ruined the whole experience for me and I was furious and really disappointed. The customer service was really poor too and the theatre was an absolute filthy mess. I won’t be going back!
Best and only cinema in Geraldton Decent cinema in a great location. However, the food/snack situation is less than ideal. I am always hopeful that the overpriced popcorn is not going to be stale….. ‍ and it is allllllways stale. In four years, I have never once received non-stale popcorn. Trying to support local businesses…but for the price, you’d hope the popcorn would be A. hot and B. not stale. Also they are pretty intense about checking bags for snacks. I just want to eat popcorn that isn’t old whole watching a film. Alas it’s best to stay home for this privilege.
Had about 5 things go wrong and considering we spent over $400 we weren't happy. Really need to get some older staff or train them up better. Called to book tickets as was having online issues. Initially when I called, I asked if there was 8 available Bogart tickets any night that week. Staff member said oh sorry I dont think so, sorry about that...silence* I asked the staff member well you don't think so or you know for sure? Staff member then asked what night I wanted, I said any this week except Wednesday. She then had a look and said yeh any of the nights were fine...so it went from dont think so, to suddenly tue, wed thur, fri sat being available?! On arrival it was really disorganised with getting served and the staff just all looked blank and confused. Then going into the movie a lady said I need to check your bags to make sure you aren't bring other food in- by this time we were running late because of how long they took to sort our tickets and meals and popcorn. We had brought a softdrink in because no where could I see it mentioned that you can't. I explained we have just bought 8x bogart tickets, meals and popcorn and you want to take our drink? Sorry it's policy. Well where is the policy on the website? I couldn't find it, and couldn't see any posters saying anything about it nor saying that you will check our bags. We got our food 2 hours in, the couple next to us got theirs at least an hour before. When it arrived it had no cutlery, and my meal didn't have the salad that was mentioned on the menu, nor did my mum's. I gave them a few minutes, nothing, so had to go out to the main area and get cutlery and ask for the salad. The servings were tiny. The only thing that was good was the chips and salad. Really put a damper on the evening because of how difficult the process was from start to finish.
Usually have a good time at the movies but cinema 1s seats r appalling, absolutely filthy. Put me off so much
this place is dead filthy and stinky. its 40°C outside and no aircon??? at least put an aircon in the main lobby… i would not recommend…
Very friendly staff but the popcorn is always stale so you might need to sneak in your own snacks!
Loved seeing a movie in the Bogart section our first ever " gold lounge" experience. Great seats and best way to see a movie. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. The manager was lovely and very helpful when I needed to sort out a ticket issue.
Lovely cinemas with spacious, comfortable seats. Friendly service. Good value. Thoroughly enjoyable movie experience.
