The Apartment was Beautiful, with an amazing view. Thanks to the Management Staff, for leading my husband on the right path back to the Apartment. The only problem is the parking it is so steep and narrow, big Vechicles Beware. There were no noise from the construction sight, maybe because it was Easter Weekend.
It used to be good, but now there’s construction going on so most of the car park is closed, and there’s no restaurant or bar. The wifi didn’t work, it said I was an invalid guest even though I entered the details correctly. Honestly you’re better paying an extra $200 and going to a nicer, more central hotel. Not really worth it for the price.
Actually the hotel rooms and location is fine. During my stay, there are some renovation construction site just behind my room and I feel insecure and not in the mood. Service at check in is okay but there is a confusion when asking about air conditioning. The room I acquired having no air conditioner and staffs suggest nothing. Overall, hotel is good but wait until renovation is complete, and until air conditioning in some rooms is installed. Rooms: Good, just make sure rooms you acquire having air conditioning in case you worry about this Safety: March, 2024 there is construction, aware of noise and security to choose this hotel. Unsure the completion of the construction and other renovation.
We loved our stay here! The staff were accommodating, especially Jo! There is construction area but it did not affect us at all. The suite is worth every bit of what you pay. We walked to town each day with easy trail access right outside. I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you Oaks Shores for a memorable experience!Rooms: 5/5
Great location, direct access to the lakes walk, and quiet place.. our room was away from the constructions , but it has a connecting door to the next room so all noises from that room , even cough, sneeze, TV noises.. name it ... Also the cooking smells from that room ooh so annoying One more thing , the room service was not good, they didn't even collect all the trash. I walk many times to the downtown, and it took me around 40 min. To reach there plus walking up hill .. but a very beautiful walk. Nearby activities: Nothing , not even a grocery Food & drinks: The restaurant was closed for renovations
This place has great views from the rooms. But I did have a couple of issues. Wifi in the rooms is basically non existent, when you could connect to it, it was so slow. Daily cleaning consisted of towel replacement, make a bed and empty bins. So the state of our toilet/bathroom after a 1 week stay was very bad. I almost wanted to go shopping and buy cleaning products to clean the toilet myself. Also our room connected to the room next door, we were unfortunate enough to be next to a family who stayed up till 2am and woke up at 7am, we could here everything. There needs to be better sound insulation between the rooms. Also, there was no warning that this building is under construction, that is misleading. When you get here then realise you're staying in a construction site, that is unprofessional. The parking is very minimal, and having a rental car is pretty much a necessity due to the far location of this place, it's around an 8 minute drive from town and shops. So overall it's not ideal at all. The least they could do is clean the rooms properly to make up for all of the other issues I listed above.
View out the tiny balcony is great, aside from trying to avoid looking into the neighbors room... Room is nice. Parking is, "first come" and pretty much non existent. There is parking across the street that they guide you to. The street crossing is tenuous and you walk down the ramp that is shared with traffic. Honestly doesn't feel the safest. For the price, it seems like this place should have closed through construction.
terrible. Second time to live here. Construction, terrible new room is smelly. No breakfast, No reception, Tv has bugs to use YouTube. No parking lots. You need to park away from the hotel! Not a good view for the king bed room. Dirty Teeth brushing glassRooms: 1/5
Pretty poor experience considering the rates these guys are charging while the place is in the middle of construction. Thin door between the neighbouring room meant we could hear other guests constantly, and had the room filled with a horrid fish-like smell when they decided to experiment with cooking - much the same with cigarette smells coming in. Due to construction there was no gym, laundry service, room service etc. Dirty dishes were left after room cleaning. Parking situation was a joke. Staff at reception were lovely, however.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Oaks Shores Resort. We had a 2 bedroom suite for 4 nights and loved the newly refurbished rooms. It was awesome! I loved the undermount LED lighting in the bathrooms. Everyone was so nice! Even our kids said that they thought people were just genuinely nice there. David drove us to and from town quite a number of times and we enjoyed the conversations with him. Yes the place is under construction, but the new rooms are amazing and when it is all done I’m sure it will be beautiful. They have many rooms with unobstructed views. The garage is a bit tight, but I was careful in our SUV and was able to manage just fine. Always had a parking spot too. It is a bit of a walk to town - about 25 minutes. But it is on a trail right next to the lake. They have shuttles that take you to town on the hour from 4-9pm. An Uber from town to the hotel is about $5. We hope we can return someday! Thanks for your wonderful hospitality!
