My husband and I stayed for our honeymoon and had a great time! The balcony was a little small, but perfectly enjoyable. The room was clean and well appointed. My husband and I very much enjoyed the pool and the pool bar. The bartenders were lovely at answering our questions and keeping us in our cups. The staff were very friendly and welcomed us warmly after congratulating us on our marriage. The gentleman who handled our reservation set up a special romance package for us, which was an amazing surprise and which we both enjoyed tremendously.
Beautiful hotel in perfect location. All staff we interacted with were always smiling, very helpful & friendly. Xander & Passion at the Pool Bar are very friendly and make the best cocktails. Nacho and the colourful lady at breakfast are the most cheerful people to meet in the morning. Breakfast buffet had so much variety and areas were clean. Staff were very attentive to top up before it was empty. Nanu on reception was so lovely on check-in and during our stay. Jed was very happy, friendly, helpful and quick at check out. The daily activities for kids was a bonus. My kids loved participating. In fact my kids didn't want to leave the hotel or pool any of the days to go out. My room was extremely clean on arrival and during our stay. Smiling and friendly housekeeping team too. The best Novotel I have stayed for a family stay.
We stayed for five nights in early January. The hotel is in a great location, within easy walking distance of the esplanade and nearby shops.nUpon arrival, we were initially allocated a room that was practically in the basement. It was very dark, had no balcony, felt dated, and had a musty smell. We raised this with reception, and the only alternative offered was an upgrade to a deluxe pool view room. While this came at a discounted rate which we appreciated, we would have preferred not to have to upgrade at all.nThe deluxe room was a significant improvement—light, airy, a reasonable size, with good air conditioning and a lovely view over the lagoon pool.nFood at the bar was good, and we ordered several times during our stay. However, on our first night we had an unfortunate experience with one staff member in the bar she was not wearing a name badge. My 70-year-old father politely asked for a pizza box to take away his leftovers and was abruptly cut off mid-sentence with “We’ve run out.” When he then asked for a smaller plate, as the original one wouldn’t fit in our room fridge, she gave him a look of disgust and placed the plate on the table with clear attitude. While we initially gave her the benefit of the doubt, we encountered her again during our stay at the pool bar, displaying the same unfriendly attitude. She never smiled at customers and stood out negatively compared to the rest of the team.nIn contrast, all other staff members we interacted with were wonderful. A special mention must go to Melanie at breakfast—she was consistently enthusiastic, friendly, and welcoming, and even helped us with our suitcases on our last day. She is a true asset to the hotel.nOverall, the hotel has a great location and comfortable upgraded rooms, but the initial room allocation and one poor customer service experience did detract from our stay.
one of the best resorts i have stayed in, with some of the best, kindest staff. i had to have a meal remade because it was made incorrectly and the staff were instantly understanding and i was compensated with 2 free drinks. the staff overall are just very helpful and FRIENDLY. i have not had a similar experience in australia where everybody is so nice! this resort felt like a breath of fresh air, and i would stay here again!
What a great place! Great location, good rooms and a great pool to spend relaxing time with family. They let us check in early and then offered late check out. And bonus, a room upgrade to pool view, without even asking. A big shout to all the great staff. They were happy to store our luggage till our flight. Lovely people and service.Thw breakfast buffet is one of the best ones I have been to. The Moku Bar and Grill serves great food, don't miss the jackfruit nachos, we had them twice!
