We booked the hotel just for a 1 night stay for our family, during our travel stopover. I initially booked Rydges but then changed for Hilton thinking it would be a better choice. It was quite disappointing. Our room although ok in layout and a nice view, had a horrrible damp smell and the smell coming out of the aircon vent was even worse. What more breakfast was most frustrating. The scrambled eggs ran out and didn’t get replenished for over 30min! We asked repeatedly different staff who were just hopeless. We wouldnt have been bothered had there been another egg station for fried or poached eggs but there wasn’t. They had an Omelette section, made in waffle tins, operated by 1 lady, who was super slow and each omelette took 10min to be cooked! Line was 10+ deep and hardly moving. We gave up and had no eggs at breakfast what should have been a basic staple provision - this should not be the case in a 4+ star hotel. It just looked like the whole restaurant organisation was poorly managed. I expected the basics to be better and wish we went somewhere else.
Great location great staff and central location. Barramundi pool and rainforest in centre of the hotel lovely. Pool, restaurant and breakfast very good .nPoor room service as two times we tried ordering the QR code did not work and when we got through we waited an hour for the food and had to call reception.
We had a cancelled flight so a ladt minute booking. We were exhausted but from the minute we walked in the door to checkout the staff were so accommodating and couldn't do enough for you. We had room service which was efficient and delicious. The steak was juicy tender and cooked to perfection as was the grilled Octopus. Yum!nWe intend returning. I can't recommend this Hotel enough.
The hotel is conveniently located just two streets away from the main restaurants and cafés, making it easy to enjoy the local dining scene without being in the middle of the hustle and bustle. This small distance actually works to its advantage, as the area around the hotel is much quieter and more peaceful, allowing for a restful night’s sleep after a busy day of exploring or working.nnThe staff are incredibly kind and attentive — they checked on me several times throughout my stay to make sure everything was perfect. They listened carefully to my requests and even surprised me with a warm cookie, which added such a personal and thoughtful touch. Their friendliness made me feel genuinely cared for and created a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived.nnThe room itself is cozy and well-decorated, with a comfortable bed, clean linens, and a relaxing atmosphere that makes it ideal for either a romantic escape or a short business trip. Everything felt spotless and well-maintained, and the amenities provided were just what I needed to feel comfortable and relaxed.nnI also appreciated how smoothly the check-in process went and how the staff made me feel at home. Overall, my experience exceeded expectations, and I’ll definitely come back — it’s the kind of place that makes you feel comfortable, cared for, and completely at ease.
Incredible experience, we check in at the night Gigi and Bela welcomed us so friendly, bela is so kind, she detailedly introduced the hotel and its surrounding facilities, very amazing start of this trip! When we entered the room, we noticed a sock on the carpet. She promptly and professionally resolved the issue, we are very grateful to her. Gigi is so sweet, at midnight, I encountered an issue: my power adapter wasn't working, and all the hotel adapters had been borrowed by guests. Since my adapter would cover the power switch on the outlet, Gigi offered two solutions: I could leave my phone at the reception desk to charge, and she'd keep an eye on it, or she could go to my room to try finding a workable solution. Her keen observation immediately helped me locate a suitable plug. She's both smart and conscientious. She easily solve my problem, awesome! Just today, I suddenly realized my keychain and eye drops were missing. I tried asking the hotel staff did they found anything that I left behind. Eyerusalem patiently listened to my concerns and then helped me to check. She also asked other department to see if they had found any items I might have left behind. I am very grateful for her extremely patient assistance. Unforgettable experience with all Hilton double tree staff! For the room, the facilities is quite old, but nice bedding, the bathtub is quite dirty, some stains could be wiped off with toilet paper, it should be improved, as well as cleaning checking. Clean and tidy rooms are the basic requirements of a hotel. Nice cookies and chocolate.
