We booked online for Mother’s day lunch a month earlier, got there and we weren’t on the list. They found us a spot & I seen menu it was a extra $30 pp than regular lunch menu, I asked why as they said it’s not available for Mother’s Day? It wasn’t worth the $300 we payed for 4 people. We also were seated on the side so kids missed out on full experience. Won’t go back. Nothing special.

Not worth the money spent. $70 per head to get 1 chicken thigh 1 lamb chpe 1 eye fillet boiled rice with egg. I can go to my locally for a better meal. But I suppose someone needs to pay there rent

Miyako is another non-Japanese owned Japanese restaurant. Is that a bad thing? It depends. If you had Japanese food in Japan and you can tell the difference, avoid this restaurant. If you are after ‘Japanese-Like’ food, you could find worse. Their service is great. The location/view is fantastic. For me, the chief at Miyako misses out on subtle flavours that makes Japanese food great. Sauces are sickly sweet. They probably don’t use Mirin and use sugar instead. Anyway, I hope this review helps someone when looking for some J food.

Delicious Japanese food. Great atmosphere. Impeccable service. The tempura was crispy and not oily. The guy servicing us on the night was very knowledgeable and recommended some great dishes and matching wine. Cannot fault the restaurant.
