I spend more time in hotels than I do at home, and even though Mercure Melbourne Caroline Springs is still 200km from where I live, it genuinely feels like my local.nnFrom the front desk to the restaurant and bar staff, everyone is consistently welcoming, professional, and — most importantly — happy to be there. That energy makes a real difference and creates a relaxed, familiar atmosphere that I look forward to each week.nnThe rooms are always clean and comfortable, and the service is reliably excellent. It’s rare to find a place that feels this personal while still being so well-run.nnHighly recommended for anyone who values comfort, consistency, and a team that truly cares.
This hotel was such a disappointment. After an exhausting 8-hour drive from Sydney, we were looking forward to a relaxing stay. I had informed the hotel in advance that we’d be checking in at midnight, but the moment we entered the room, our fatigue was met with even more frustration.nnThe room had an unpleasant odor, as if someone had been smoking or vaping inside. The carpet and couch were covered in stains, making the room feel dirty and poorly maintained. The receptionist was kind enough to offer another room, which was slightly better, but still far from comfortable. The pillows were hard and overly high, and the mattress itself was just as uncomfortable, making it nearly impossible to get a good night’s rest.nnOverall, the hotel felt old and run-down. The worst part, however, was the lifts—both reeked of urine or vomit, which was absolutely appalling. Because of all this, I informed the receptionist that we would be checking out early and cancelled our second night, for which I truly hope I’ll receive a refund.
Back again and still loving it! nSecond stay at Mercure Caroline Springs in just two monthsn 5/5 — Excellent Stay at Mercure Caroline SpringsnnWe had a wonderful experience at Mercure Caroline Springs! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable — especially the bed! We loved the view over the lake, and the balcony was a beautiful touch for a quiet morning coffee.nnThe location is perfect with shops, cafes, and restaurants just a short walk away. Parking was easy and convenient. We also enjoyed the hotel’s facilities, including the on-site bar and restaurant — great food and even better service!nnHighly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Will definitely be returning. Our home away from home nnReceptionist Magda was absolutely wonderful—so welcoming and engaging! She recognized us from our first visit and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and comfortable. To our delight, she even told us we’d been upgraded—how exciting! Her warmth and attention to detail truly made our stay special once again ‍
Great location by the lake and the bistro has a nice vibe. However, the room’s interior design wasn’t really my taste — the green, gray, and brown colour scheme felt quite dated. The bed was a good size and the balcony was a plus, but the chairs were rusty. The shower room ceiling had yellow water marks, which says a lot about the maintenance standards. The shower itself was worse than the one at the gym, which I didn’t expect at this price point.nnThere’s a small pool, Jacuzzi, and gym, but these could be more generously sized given the size of the building. Also, there’s no gym access after 9pm, even though the door sign says open until 10pm.nTheir bond is $250 while other places with better facilities only hold $50–$100. It’s really the location that keeps this place going — otherwise I’d recommend looking elsewhere for the price.
We just finished having an our family reunion at this venue. The staff were very welcoming and looked after us very well, food was amazing . The rooms were spacious and the indoor pool was perfect for all our kids . Thank you guys for an amazing stay
