I was a bit disappointed by the food here. Granted it was a solid high-end Cantonese seafood restaurant, I didn’t find the dishes worthy of its price tag and its Google ratings.nnThe famed steamed scallops were good but not great. The abalone dish came with two tiny dried ones in a sauce that was too plain.nnThe service was too quality though.

Getting straight to the point, I absolutely enjoyed the food very much! It was very tasteful, but there was a flaw to the Peking ducknnPeking duck was cut very thick as usually, you'd eat it for the duck skin and fat, but it had a big chunk of meat, making it seem more like roasted duck than Peking duck. Nonetheless, it was very delicious.nnThe price of all the dishes was quite on the expensive side but I would definitely come back again.nnSide note, if you want to be seated somewhere towards the inner of the restaurant, instead of at the entrance, you'll need to make sure to add a note in when booking. We didn't know that and was seated right at the entrance, which wasn't very nice as we didn't feel like we had any privacy.

Yum cha with class and at its finest. We visit Me Wah as a must for yum cha on Sundays when we travel to Hobart. Each visit, they continue to uphold their standards towards service and beautiful food prepared by the team. The staff are always polite and organised, food is always oh so delicious with every bite and the restaurant itself always maintained its polished and high reputation. I highly recommend all of my foodie friends to try Me Wah and enjoy yum cha. For me personally, coming from an Asian heritage and having tried several yum cha in most interstates, Me Wah is the best place I’ve been to and I hope you get the chance to visit them in Hobart.

What an amazing experience, staff are the best I have ever come across, the food is exquisite and the presentation is just as good. The atmosphere is so relaxed. I highly recommend this restaurant if your looking for Asian cuisine. If I could give this place a higher rating I surely would.

I  went to China this year and wanted to have a bit of the culture back on my palate, and sincerely i found this beautiful and excellent quality of Chinese food in Tasmania. We will come back! Thanks
