I like this restaurant before they changed the chief! The 1,2,3 dishes are good! The beef and pork are all wonderful! But the 4,5,6 pics was really bad! The lamb is cooked in boiling water without any spice. The duck meat is finished within 2 bites. I won't come here again. I rate 2 stars for the good service. The taste of food gets zero mark:(

Food was amazing. Huge size serves, great value for money. Amazingly delicious and fresh Tassie produce. Partner ordered the seafood plate  Tempura Tasmanian scallops, coconut crumbed prawns, spiced Tasmanian calamari, tempura local fish on rustic cut chips. The seafood was fresh and cooked perfect. The prawns were the biggest we’ve seen in Tassie and the taste was scrumptious. He started with chowder and lucky he ordered the entree size, rich creamy n full of seafood n potatoe. I’m going back to have a bowl myself next time. I chose the chicken Involtini, two huge chicken breasts with asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, on saffron risotto with red capsicum coulis, a welcome battle to get through. So delicious I couldn’t leave a grain of rice. Nice size glasses of wine from a good choice wine list, nice to see the tide not out and the prices very reasonable. Service was friendly and welcoming and we didn’t need to wait long for anything. 
My only issue was the seats felt small and not overly comfortable but that wouldn’t stop me going back. Also I just wish I could have had room for dessert because the table opposite had stunning desserts that made our mouth water. One dessert would have been ample to share for two. 
Will definitely go back and definitely recommend Beef & Seafood Grill at Salamanca Hobart.

Worst dining experience I've had in Hobart -- poorly trained waiters and bad food. I waited 40mins for the 450 gram scotch fillet NY to arrive (cooked rare) only to be given the wrong steak. After waiting another 30 mins the correct steak finally arrived (and I almost wish it hadn't). It was tough and tasted like it had been previously frozen. Their new head chef needs to be sent back to culinary school - I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, nor will I ever return.

This was our second visit to share a meal with friends.  On both occasions the food has been great. The service was good and they were very busy but gave us time and explained any queries we had.  I would recommend this restaurant for a enjoyable meal in Salamanca.
