BarCelona is located in the very centre of Hobart’s unique and premier tourist precinct Salamanca Place. Situated within century old warehouses, public spaces and the world renown Salamanca Market . Uniquely designed BarCelona is a contemporary bar within sandstone walls and cathedral ceilings. Our upstairs loft bar is a unique place for functions.

It's a nice venue, good place the go and sit down for drinks earlier in the evening. But the music they play doesn't suit. They play club music, dance music, really loudly, so you're sitting on a couch with your friends trying to chat, but you have to yell. Needs to decide whether it wants to be a sit down bar or a club (I'd prefer the former).

Lovely waitress. Salt & pepper squid very nice. The reason for 2 stars: the tasting plate sounded delicious, I asked I if I could swap out the pork belly as I don’t eat pork, for anything, didn’t care what. Salad if they wanted. The answer was a flat NO. so vegetarian options suddenly became single objects. I chose the halloumi which was fine. But not what what I wanted & only ok. I’ve had better. Very disappointing attitude. Wouldn’t recommend.
