When looking for delicious ramen and Japanese food in Hobart, look no further. This family-ran restaurant is cozy and has amazing food. The ramen is really delicious and has great flavours. I do recommend to make a reservation, as they get busy in the evenings.
Absolutely loved our visit to Komatsu Japanese Cuisine in Hobart. The sushi rolls were fresh and beautifully presented, the sashimi was delicate and fresh tasting, and the black garlic ramen was one of the best I’ve ever had, with noodles that were perfectly firm yet tender. Great quality, highly recommend.
Absolutely phenomenal food and atmosphere. Very quiet, especially for on a main road. All the food is definitely worth the money. I especially liked that it was clear the staff were enjoying themselves too while we were eating, they were talking and laughing with eachother and doing other tasks which was super nice to see. Again though, truly cannot understate how good the food was.
There's limited seating so it's unwise to turn up without reservation like what we did. There was only outdoor seating available. Even though it was cold outside, we were hungry and it was getting late so we decided to brave the cold.nnThe staff deserve a special mention for being very friendly and helpful. They assisted us by moving tables, serving hot water to keep us warm while we waited for the food, and were attentive to our needs while we were eating.nnAs we were so far from Japan, I didn't know what to expect but the food was quite good. It was an enjoyable dinner for all of us. So if you're in Hobart and want a recommendation, I'd vote for this. Just remember to call first.
All the food here was really good. Like really really good Japanese food. Great value for money with large serves.
