Lift Byron Bus Service is a Byron Bay Shuttle service company that provide express bus transfers from Byron Bay to Gold Coast Airport and from the Gold Coast Airport to Byron Bay. We also provide Charter services in Byron Bay for weddings, groups, private tours and Byron Bay bus transfers to festivals in Byron Bay and Byron shire.

Our Express bus transfers from the Gold Coast Airport to Byron Bay generally take 55 to 60 minutes. Please note that Daylight Savings Time is used in New South Wales. As a consequence there is a 1 hour difference with the State of Queensland. Travelling from the Gold Coast Airport to Byron Bay you need to add 1 hour and travelling from Byron Bay to the Gold Airport your clock needs to be put back 1 hour.

Quite simply, was left stranded. 

As for the rude, abrupt and defensive nature of their staff? Well, that speaks volumes.

Would not recommend if coming from events or festivals outside of the normal route to Byron.  Directions and meeting points are iffy, as are timings. Unlike other shuttle services, there was no signage for this service at Splendour 2017, and the festival organisers weren't familiar with the business name. While we waited where all of the other shuttle services were doing pickups (shuttle car park), Lift went to the public car park instead. As a result we missed our Lift shuttle - no alternate pickups, no refunds.

Luckily other businesses on-site were very accommodating, so we managed to make our flight. For only $5 more we got a spot on a big, comfy, air conditioned bus - these had great signage so there would be no confusion as to where to board.

Would recommend for future festivals/events that Lift have clearer signage or at least communication with the event organisers.

Damien is prompt, kind, thoughtful, punctual, flexible, and a great person. His LIFT bus service made so many things easy for me. I caught his bus into Byron Bay to do some surfing for the week. I was going to stay one night in Gold Coast and had already booked with him to come back. But I loved Byron so much that I was able to organize with him directly about changing my service to the next day. We had a fantastic conversation and everything was prompt and easy. No hassles! Thanks Damien!!!

I booked the wrong date and was provided the managers/owners details whom I contacted. Damian was then quick to provide a solution and organised an alternative option for me. Would highly recommend !
