I cannot fault the dedication of the team at Labrador vets. Their care, concern and treatment of Zoe went above and beyond. They were so invested in her health, and wellbeing. They treated her and us like family, and even did her washing. We will be forever grateful for their care. I can highly recommend them. Thankyou all so much Xx

We had to say goodbye to our little girl Bella today and he was brilliant, full of empathy and what was a frightening experiencefor us not knowing what to expect turned into one of pure understanding and love. Thank you so very much Chris, never experienced a vet like you before, we are indebted to you for caring about our girl at her time of need. Highly recommended to all.
The best vet in the area and I've been to most of them. Took my cat to 5 different vets over a year, and all told me there was nothing wrong with him. this one was my last attempt, if they thought I am crazy would leave it be. Even before the examination, Mike was spot on diagnosis just by listening to my concerns and the x-ray confirmed he was spot on! Never go to anyone else again
This is the most caring, beautiful and kind vet surgery. I cannot recommend this vet surgery enough. Dr Chris is a true animal lover and is dedicated from the heart.. truly grateful for these people.
I have been taking my pug to Labrador Veterinary Surgery since he was 10 weeks old as it was the closest to where I lived. My pug Rudy is now 5 years old and I continue to take him here for all his check ups and treatments even though I have moved out of the area. Over the years I have found all the staff at the surgery to be highly skilled & knowledgeable and very friendly & reassuring to myself as a worried pet owner. Rudy has undergone surgery twice here and both times he was very well cared for. I believe their prices are reasonable as it is cheaper for me to pay for treatment as and when required rather than pay monthly pet insurance premiums. In my experience they will not recommend unnecessary procedures as when Rudy had a hernia Dr Chris postponed surgical correction for 6 months to see if it would heal on its own. I would highly recommend Labrador Veterinary Surgery to other pet owners especially those with Brachycephalic breeds.

I had just moved to the GC. I rang needing an urgent appointment for my dog, explained my situation and was told that there was a 10.30am timeslot available, which was less than an hour from my call. Perfect. However, when I said I would be a new customer, I was told ‘sorry, we're not taking new clients’. You can go to another vet more than 20 minutes from me. And yet they had an empty timeslot in less than an hour! In writing this review, i understand that you may be looking for a new vet. And Google reviews are about the customer experience. That starts from the first phone call. I, unfortunately, experienced both disappointing service and a lack of any compassion for what was a stressful situation. If I had been asked first if I was a current customer and then it was explained they weren’t taking new clients, I would have been understanding, based on the other reviews I had read. However, I wasn’t, I was advised of an available timeslot and then it was taken away from me. Nor was I asked where I lived to understand the worthiness of any recommendation for another vet. It was all very unhelpful at a stressful time... The other sign of the customer experience is the ‘attitude’ in the way reviews are responded to by the business. In a world where reviews are accountability for services, unfortunately, I can’t recommend if you haven't been before.

After my vet retired, I was at a loss as to where to take my dog, Poppy, who has chronic issues. So glad I found Dr Mark at Labrador Vet Surgery. He is so caring, knowledgeable and explains everything so well. The girls at reception are also always so friendly and helpful. Won't go anywhere else now. Highly recommended!!
Very professional and friendly staff. Vets have over 40 years of experience and are very caring . Happy to continue going there for my dogs heath issues.
