Amazing setting, imported the bricks from Italy, or so the story goes. Excellent food, pizza was well priced, gnocchi pork ragu was sensational. It’s outta the way for most but local for us.

La Cantina is a really nice restaurant in the suburbs of Canberra, a few minutes driving from the city centre (civic). Designed to look like a wine cellar, hence the name Cantina, it has a very warm feeling and a great Italian menu at reasonable prices. The service is friendly and attentive and the food really good. My wife and I started off with the Antipasto, a very generous combo of prosciutto and spicy salami with buffalo bocconcini and a delightful focaccia with rosemary and sea salt, and it almost filled us up. We then had the squid ink ravioli and lobster fettuccine. The ravioli were really the highlight of a very good dinner. Recommended.

Relaxing and elegant ambience, amazing food, and even better, they are doing most things in such reasonable price. My new favourite fine dining place in Canberra

My husband and I tried the Banquet tasting menu: DELICIOUS! Great atmosphere, professional service and the food is fairly priced. We'll definitely go back!
