Last week I was privileged to partake of the Surf 'n' Turf special. It was one of the finest meals I have ever had. The steak was cooked to perfection accompanied by a beautiful bearnaise sauce and a wonderful fresh lobster poached in an exotic champagne infusion. The asparagus were delicately cooked and delicious, as were the baby root vegetables. Highly recommended 👍

Are you sure you are talking about the right venue Michelle? The column restaurant has won back to back awards for best restaurant in a small venue for the last 8-10 years.. I don't believe your one star is an accurate review of the National Press Club. I recently dined there myself having the Beef Tenderloin with my colleague trying the Lamb Rack Special which we both thoroughly enjoyed.  Michelle you have to bear in mind the column restaurant is not a fast food takeaway.  Quality does take time and considering it is a fine dining setting the price should reflect that.

I would highly suggest you look elsewhere to eat. Food is below average and boring. Lacks innovation and taste. Expensive and simply not worth it. I wouldn't recommend at all
