Ostani Lounge, Bar & Restaurant is a place for meeting, relaxation, for a friendly chat or business negotiations.

Offering nightly meal deals, drink specials and Canberra's most popular Happy Hour, plus weekly events including pop up champagne bars, free wine tastings and featured spirit tastings.

The lounge and restaurant offer laid-back, intimate and fuss-free environments, while the newly renovated outdoor pavilion and Garden Bar keeps guests cool in summer and warm in the winter with two outdoor fireplaces.

The fully operational Garden Bar serves beers on tap and selected wines, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages.

Inside-out wide open bistro bar serving up cucina down under, Aussitaliano. Attracts a relaxed bunch with more spark than the smart hotel location and business wear would suggest. I’ve visited regularly every time I’m in town, even when I’m not staying upstairs. This place can be packed into the early evening, reserve for a group.nnOpen early to late, breakfast to beers, via coffee, lunch and dinner. Good barista and beans. Handy location for informal meetings with business and government organisations almost on the doorstep. I’ve also enjoyed the changing menu many times and throughout the day. The kitchen has taken care of the ingredients and sent out well-prepared dishes that have been a treat to eat. The bar has been well-stocked with interesting beers, good wine and a cocktail list. The team have been warm and bants-ready but often on their toes keeping a big crowd happy.nnTake a table, either order with the QR code or at the bar. Means it moves at your pace. A host will be over with your selection in a jiffy. There is a water fountain still and sparkling, carafes and glasses near the bar. A bit nippy as you walk up? There are heaters throughout or space inside.nnRecent visits I’ve had the grilled chicken, juicy and crisp skin with a zingy side salad. Lunchtime, a delicious braised lamb deli sandwich. At breakfast, smashed avo, poached eggs and grilled bacon. As confident as before.

Sadly the food did not live up to the standard of everything else.  The atmosphere is excellent. Service efficient even when busy.  Undeniably a great place for drinks and a catch up.  The food though is a hard no. Crispy pork salad looked like a dog's breakfast.  The pork was overcooked not crispy. Prawn burger was underwhelming.  Ate at another pub the next night.  Was surprised that I ended up with same cut of pork but the difference was it was cooked just right and delicious. I could taste the difference.  Sorry guys.  I usually score most places high but couldn't this time.

We came for brekkie & dinner most of the time we stayed in Canberra as food was amazing especially the full breakfast & pancakes on Tuesday 20/1/26 & staffs were friendly!nHighly recommended!! We'll definitely come back here next time!

Ostani bistro bar is a great place for drinks, to meet up and bistro food.nHaving visited the Ostani over many years and seen the changes in the menu, I still miss the original $24 Big Ben burger two patties, bacon, egg, lettuce & tomato with perfect fries. It had been replaced by the Ostani burger one patty, cheese, lettuce and onion with an extra patty for $6 and bacon $3 on top of the $28 Ostani burger see first photo with fries . So burger value, proportions and quality has diminished over the years. The original Big Ben burger see second photo was an all time favorite burger of mine. It was so big it had a steak knife plunged in the middle to hold the burger together as it was so stacked of goodness. Banger.nThe other menu items pizzas, parma and steaks are fine but not as memorable as the original burgers. It was the reason we visited so many times.nWould I come back? Maybe, but the burgers could be better exceptional even, like the original Big Ben.

I couldn’t take photos because the food was so beautifully presented and smelled so good that I couldn’t resist waiting to take a photo before eating. Everything was absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the whole experience made me feel like I was in a different country. It was a refreshing change compared to my experiences in other states. I highly recommend Ostani and will definitely be back!
