Outstanding ambience throughout the property and the food was terrific steak for myself and the fish of the day for my wife. The beer garden area is simply stunning with its greenery and flowers, cozy nooks, and some spaces for larger groups where the bonhomie was rippling to laughter and end-of-week celebrations Friday night. See photos...well worth the visit...quietly classy.
The meals were huge, great value and delicious. There was a good variety to choose from. Staff were very good, they were efficient and always doing something. Not standing around or on their phone. Will definately come back when e visit Canberra again

The steaks are exceptional - perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavour without any unnecessary pretension. You can tell they use quality cuts and know exactly what they’re doing on the grill.nnThe ambiance is another highlight: relaxed, warm, and unmistakably Australian. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable the moment you walk in - lively yet inviting, with that classic pub charm.nnIf you’re in Canberra and want a reliably great meal, this is the spot. I’d absolutely come back on my next trip. Highly recommended.
Great spot for a relaxed afternoon. The outdoor garden area is easily the highlight, plenty of space, leafy, and just a good vibe overall. Food came out quick and tasted great, and the drinks were solid with a good range on tap. Easy place to hang out with friends without any fuss. Will definitely swing by again.
The atmosphere is great, even on a busy night when it’s noisy it’s not too noisy that you can’t hear the people next to you. The rooms are decorated nicely and lightning is warm and soft. The staff were friendly, finding us a table when it started bucketing down rain and getting a kids colouring pack for the little one when we sat down. The food was delicious, I ordered the kilpatrick oysters and Asian beef soup - both were great choices. Despite being a busy night, food and drink service was great too.
