A lovely lunch experience at The Pedlar after completion of the “bridge to bridge” walk around Lake Burley Griffin. Annoyingly we arrived during the 1 hour between the breakfast and lunch service, staff were accomodating and served drinks whilst we awaited the kitchen’s reopening for lunch. As far as I can see it is not clearly stated anywhere on google that the kitchen closes between breakfast and lunch. Lunch was served promptly and the chicken parmigiana was without any major issue.
Great spot for a quiet but delicious breakfast on a public holiday. Dietary restrictions: There are some gluten free options.
This was our 1st visit to The Pedlar and we understand why the "word of mouth" review from our daughter and son in law has made this their favourite breakfast location. Comfy, warm, great ambience and a relaxing venue. We highly recommend The Pedlar to anyone looking for a great place to eat.Food: 5/5
Great place for a quick meal. Relatively fast and I love their chai latte. The pedlar burger was good as well but I think the bun was a little too much. Overall, great place.
We went there for after work drinks on a Friday afternoon and it was already pretty packed. We just ordered nibbles including fries and the salt and pepper squid as well as a few drinks. The chips were great value for money as there was a huge bowl with aoili sauce. The squid on the other hand were very bland but fried nicely and again with aoili and a chilli soy sauce that was quite nice. The atmosphere was good and there was even live music closer to 5 pm. It's always a battle between enjoying the live music and trying to have a conversation with your friends so sometimes it was a little hard to hear over the singing. Overall it was a good place for after work drinks. Not sure about a full meal as I've only gone for lunch and it was ok.
Good meals and smoothies available. Though on this visit Sunday morning the breakfast menu finished and customers weren't allowed to order from that. One would then think that you could order off the regular lunch menu, but no that was not available yet. It seems a little odd that customers are stuck just having with the drinks menu. Hopefully this is a one off experience. There is plenty of seating inside and out, with equal amounts of both. Outside has heating also, for the folder months or the year. Staff are friendly and quick to serve
Only went here for breakfast but the variety was pretty decent. They cook up a mean big breakfast which left me satisfied. The bacon was deliciously smoky and the eggs were suitably runny. They even surprisingly had a Japanese inspired menu, offering okonomoyaki pancakes and Yuzu salmon which while refreshing was on the expensive side. 18 dollars for pancakes while 19 buys a big breakfast seemed a little 'not worth' the coffee was on the acidic side, providing a very tart coffee, while that didn't suit my taste, others may possibly enjoy. Not sure if they rotate beans to provide a cycle of flavours but that was my experience during the two days I was there.
On our walk we decided to try the Pedlar and were impressed by their extensive menu. However, the food was disappointing, service very slow and the staff were not friendly or welcoming. Will not return.
This is a nice pub/restaurant a little outside of the city. Easily accessible via the local red rapid bus service. The food was tasty, and the staff quite friendly. They currently sell warm mead, which is a lovely winter treat. The menu has the regular pub-style meals like steak and schnitzel.
I had a disappointing visit to your establishment recently. One of your employees, Josh, was quite rude. The coffee tasted terrible, and it was even spilled onto the plate. He didn't greet or make eye contact. Overall, the service was really poor. I won't be recommending your place to anyone."Food: 1/5
