Parking is at the car park out front of the restaurant. Not much signs around so you might walk right past the place. Amazing food with great staff and excellent customer service. We had the tasting menu consisting of 8 courses and couldn't fault any one of the dishes. They were well cooked, not too oily and portion sizes were decent. Reservations are recommended as the space isn't big.

Had a wonderful night with great service too. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the interior design, it feels like discovering a hidden secret. The A-ma style Nyonya cooking is one of my favourite cuisines, yet I haven’t tried all of Lanterne Rooms’ food. A friend and I had dinner for two banquet menu. I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb murtabak and the fish with burnt butter. However the other foods were reasonable since I was searching for more of a luscious palate. Happy to come again and try the other foods.

Food was tasty but portions are tiny. The $34 beef curry was delicious but essentially an entree sized dish. Expect to pay $150 for a couple if you do three course without wine.

Although the location - across from a dry cleaners and in a tiny local suburban shopping outfit - may bring the wrong impression, Lanterne Rooms is a fantastic fine dining experience. The staff were lovely and knowledgeable about the food they were serving. As for the food. It was fantastic. My partner and I got the tasting menu and it was worth it. From start to finish each serving was unreal. The speciality of the prawns rightfully holds it place as they were an absolute treat.

I took my husband here for his birthday after a couple of friends recommended it. The restaurant is in a small, bland group of shops but don't let first impressions fool you. The staff are professional, polite and very helpful. The food is delicious and varied. The menu the night we went catered to all tastes, including vegetarians and vegans (which we're not, but this may be handy to know). It is not inexpensive, but it does not disappoint either. I would definitely go here again and I would recommend friends to do likewise.
