I ate the 2 course lunch. The pork belly was deliciously juicy, easy to chew, and the sauces made it very wonderful as a meal. The quail was also very nice. It came in three styles, including what was similar to a quail sausage. I was also able to taste the lamb, as my mother couldn't finish her meal. My favourite was the pork belly. Of my group, everyone was pleased, and enjoyed the meal. For 55 dollars per person, Waters edge is a very nice place to go for a special occasion. I would definitely reccomend. If you enjoy the food here, I can also recommend Courgette, the sister restaurant.

Saturday night dinner at waters edge restaurant was exceptional with perfect sitting at middle of first raw near window. Service was extra ordinary and food was above our expectations compare to its prices. Will be back in near future (may be mothers day if open) Highly recommended

First visit at Waters Edge was something special on Mothers Day. 3 Course lunch was amazing and awesome Lake view made our lunch completely perfect. All three Course were cooked and presented well. Service was friendly. Thanks Waters Edge

Made a reservation for Valentines Day this year for dinner with my girlfriend while I was in town for business. I had heard this was one of the better restaurants in Canberra for fine dining. Unfortunately, it was very subpar. The wait staff was confused and performed as if they had just been hired. I had no cutlery when my food first arrived and had to remind them several times before it arrived. The pairing of the wine with food was horrendous. Sometimes I would get the food and wait 10 minutes for the wine, or it wouldn’t come at all. When I asked the wait staff for my wines, they were yet again confused and even brought the incorrect wine for the pairing. When we were leaving, the used linens from the tables were just piled up in a corner by the front door for everyone to see. It was most appalling. The food was decent and the only reasons I give two stars. However, I will not return nor will I recommend this location. There are far better places in Canberra for the same prices and better service, such as Otis Dining Hall.

We just came home from a thoroughly wonderful experience at Water's Edge Restaurant. We had a large booking to celebrate a 50th Wedding anniversary for my parents and I couldn't rate it highly enough. The food was absolutely superb - not huge portions but the perfect amount for a three course lunch. The staff was highly attentive and professional, the restaurant was spotless and every member of our party was raving about the experience we had. Congratulations to all at the Water's Edge Restaurant and our compliments to the very talented chef.
