Flight delayed so Airnz put us up overnight. Reception was easy to sign in and out. Room lovely, water pressure in the shower was odd as temperature kept changing.nnI was dining solo at the resturant, was seated and 5 other tables came in after me had their orders taken first, so waited quite awhile to eat my small plates.nnFood was alright but wouldn't order again, lamb ribs temperature wasn't very warm, sauce was a bit rich for my liking and arincini balls were piping hot but good.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Christchurch, close to shops, restaurants, and major attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making a good stay stay overall. However, a few small improvements could enhance the guest experience; such as adding basic toiletries, hotel slippers, coffee cup saucers, spoons, and offering better-quality milk for coffee!!nAdditionally, the loading bay area is often occupied by taxis waiting for passengers, which can make drop-offs and pick-ups difficult. It would be great if the hotel could manage this better to ensure convenient access for guests. Lastly, in this day and age, the slow Wi-Fi and the need to renew it every 24 hours are quite inconvenient and could definitely be improved.

Ibis Christchurch has everything you expect as a 4-star hotel. A clean, spacious room with adequate amenities. The bedding is of excellent quality with a choice of pillows. What I am most impressed is the service and the food from Perch restaurant, the hotel’s very own dining place. Both service and food is a true definition of “simply done well”. A 5-star dining experience tucked in a 4-star hotel.

Wasn’t very impressed. Everything was serviceable, but the impression I came away with was that Rennovations had been applied more like lipstick across a run down older hotel. Avoid the lower floors for street level noise.nIf the price was right would return for the location only.

Our stay was very disappointing. The room was extremely cramped — hardly any space to move around. The toilet exhaust was not working, making it uncomfortable. At check-in, we were told the hotel parking was full, and we had to pay extra for parking elsewhere. The breakfast was below average, and honestly, there are much better options available nearby through Airbnb. Overall, definitely not worth the money. It might be manageable for a solo traveler, but absolutely not suitable for families.
