As a gold member you expect a certain level.of service and they still seem to be figuring this out.  Maybe not enough staff or maybe just developing the differences between one off customers and gold club.  Car wasn't ready until i made a suggestion for another.  Dropping off was a little confusing with no one to check in.  This could easily be improved but with only two people handling all the one off customers,  they didn't have time to be courteous as they could to gold members.

Hertz reported damage after car was returned and there was none. They did not give an opportunity to review car with staff at pickup or drop off. Additionally, it has been over two weeks after I requested proof of damage and an itemized repair cost and I have not received a response. I would absolutely go somewhere else for car rental in New Zealand.

Was my first time here for a rental car. It took only 5 minutes to complete the formalities and I was already driving the car. A special mention also about the very good condition of the Toyota Prado which I drove.

Received my rental car dirty and with damage to the car but nothing on the prerental agreement stating the damage. I went to the office and had a member of staff fill in the form with me and sign it. I also took photos at the time. Handed the car back 2 weeks later with no further damage but have been charged over $3000 as they claim I am to blame for the damage. I have sent an email with the photos and the filled in damage form (inc signature) but have still not heard anything. It is also a complete franchise so all claims go to a seperate branch that are very hard to get in contact with. I would not use this company again. Pretty poor treatment of a Hertz Gold Member.

After returning the vehicle from the Auckland City branch, I was pleasantly surprised by the duty manager going out of his way to ensure his representation on Hertz was first class. The return was 12/9/2017 @ 1245. My apologies for not remembering his name. I always use Hertz and this service reassures me of my choice.
