Exceptional customer service from Andy - Thanks you. We ordered a new gasmate BBQ set $9k plus. Andy was very knowledgeable about the BBQ and other products in the store. He explained the delivery process, what we needed to be aware of when we assembled the BBQ. He maintained effective communication with us ahead of the delivery.nnUnfortunately the sink module was damaged and the gas connector for the BBQ from Gasmate did not include the standard bayonet fitting for all new gas installations it's a 1/2 inch screw fitting. Andy followed up with Gasmate immediately and organised for a replacement for the sink module. He also asked Gasmate about the missing fitting. Gasmate said that a Bayonet fitting was non standard and that they don't provide this. Bunnings and Reece did not stock an adaptor - Reeces stating that the hose provided by Gasmate was non standard. I then went to BBQ Gallore who also said Gasmate had provided the wrong hose. A replacement hose was $200! Andy was so upset. He offered a discount voucher. I was then referred by Reeve to Gameco who did stock a bayonet fitting at a reasonable price. After returning the hose to BBQ Galore for a refund I contacted Andy with the good news. Andy still offered a discount voucher.nnSo - despite the issues with Gasmate, I received the best possible service from Harvey Norman. Andy is a true example of a culture of customer service. I'll certainly be back to buy other products from Harvey Norman knowing that they are committed to customer satisfaction.nnThe pictures show the damaged unit, the hose from BBQ galore, and hopefully my next purchase from Harvey Norman!
This morning I had an excellent delivery experience with Peter and Nicole. They were punctual, professional, and incredibly efficient! Both were very friendly, handled everything with special care, ensuring the process was smooth and stress free.nI highly recommend Peter and Nicole for their exceptional service.nIt was the best delivery!!nThank you both for a great job
Purchased an oven. Advised that we required it asap. They said it may be the next day or the day after that for delivery..I agreed. I booked an electrician and plumber twice and had to cancel them twice. Next day it got delivered without any notifications or advise of time. Oven delivered and it was the wrong oven. The following day I had to wait for their mistake to pick up and re deliver the new one. I was sent a text at 7pm that night delivery would be between 3.30pm and 6.30pm on a Saturday on 38 degree day which stuffed up my whole day as well as waiting all day for them. Can't call them as they are closed and conveniently can't call in the morning as they have already loaded their truck. I live around the corner from them I would have hoped due to their mishap I would be the first delivery slot?! No, I am the last and this is the last time I am using their service. They need to get on board like the rest with delivery services so customers can track where their products are especially in transit. So much better with JB hifi or Good Guys. They give you an app and you know exactly how long it will be. What made me go with Harvey Norman..not sure! Never again!
I’ve never written a bad review before, but feel compelled to do so after my final interaction with an employee in the white goods section of the Preston store. I bought a Bosch dryer last year, that ended up being faulty. After a month-long ordeal with Bosch, they decided on a refund. Both the delivery and subsequent pickup of the dryer during the refund process arranged by Harvey Norman were terrible. I was given a three-hour window. Both times, the guys arrived long after that window had closed with no updates or notifications apart from a phone call when they were five minutes away. I’d recommend a notification or tracking system, as I ended up with two days completely wasted. During the pick up of the faulty dryer, the guys also dropped it accidentally on my floor so there’s now a mark on my floorboards.nnI was also given mixed information by the store on how refunds are processed. In three phone calls, I was initially told I could do it over the phone, then I was told the paperwork wasn’t ready fair enough and then I was told I had to come into the store - which is fine, just don’t give me false information to begin with. The biggest insult of all and the reason for this review was coming into the store and being greeted by one of your employees unfortunately I didn’t get his name so warmly, with a huge smile, only for his whole demeanour to change when he found out the reason for my visit a refund. He became very rude and disrespectful. I explained my machine had been picked up on the weekend, and despite having the tax invoice, he started demanding that I show him emails I'm guessing he meant the ones from Bosch, but Harvey Norman had picked up the dryer at this point so they had the details!. I asked him why he couldn’t just look it up on the computer. Fortunately, a much kinder employee overheard the interaction and jumped in, taking the tax invoice and doing exactly that, finding the credit note.nnIf a customer has a refund from Bosch or another manufacturer they’ve probably been through the wringer as those refunds aren’t easy to get and it’s probably been a long process for them, you might not be getting a sale, but please just be kind.
