Nice looking jewellery but repair/service was disappointing. I was given a lovely pair of diamond studs as a gift but when the backings kept falling out in the weeks following my purchase one of the backings was lost, luckily realised before the front part fell out! When I came in they tried to charge me for replacement of the backing ( butterfly). When I explained I felt it was a fault with the design the man serving me basically accused me of lying. I accepted paying for it but later complained about the service. They later waived the fee. Also, when it was replaced the problem recurred and eventually I lost the front ( diamond) part on one side. Didn’t bother going back.

We may have waited 10 minutes to be served, but we were most definitely given eye contact followed by “we will be with you as soon as possible” by a few staff. Julianne was our personal assistant who bent over backwards to provide what I’d say is some of the best and legitimate customer service I have had in a long time. Julianne listened to our specific requirements on the wedding bands we wanted, sat with us while we went over and over the same selection to ensure we were satisfied and comfortable with the details to be submitted for quote. Unbeknownst to us much of this was done in her own time, as we had gone pass their closing time, not even a complaint from her, it was a non issue! We went to a couple of other places and the prices were slightly less, service good but not great. It was the consultation and presentation of the product that took us back to Hardy Brothers to finalise our purchase. 3 weeks later and we’ve picked up our rings and they’re more than perfect. Our handmade Platinum wedders have exceed our expectations and we are forever grateful to Julianne for making this part of our relationship another great experience. Thank you! Dean and Glenn.

For the past 30 years my Baume & Mercier Watch was serviced by Hardy Brothers. This time, after 3 month the quote was $1850 for repair. But $45 by Swiss Watch Service Centre around the corner one day later, including battery.. Every 2 years I was charged $85 for a new battery. When I was told it needed extra service, I paid up to $800. So go to the Swiss Watch Service Centre, a repair shop on the 5th floor of 343 Little Collins str. A Lovely couple and very friendly . HARDY Brothers, you don't do yourself a good service, if you have someone so close by who can do such a great job, why do you send watches to Brisbane for a quote on repair, taking 3 months and charging unbelievable prices! Shame on you!
