Story

A team of passionate Euro-lovers have come together to create GG, a lively local European restaurant, bar and function space nestled in the heart of East Melbourne.

Overlooking Fitzroy Gardens with views to the city, GG is the place to share all the good things about Melbourne: food, coffee and wine.

GG’s menu is a collaboration of the duo's years of travels and industry experience, inspired by European flavours and the enjoyment of the shared table. The kitchen is led by Paul Dunlop, delivering wood fire pizzas, slow roasted meats from over the coal and wood, pastas, small dishes and larger plates.

The wine list is diverse and bold, reflecting the style of GG with local and international wines. Complemented with European style aperitifs, classic and modern cocktails and craft beers.

We welcome large and small groups, working with you to create a perfect event using one of our private or semi-private spaces. The fully private Clarendon Room,with park views and full AV capabilities, seats 100 guests and is ideal for celebrations, meetings and presentations. Larger groups of up to 250 guests have the option of exclusively reserving the entire venue. Smaller groups can enjoy long window tables or the semi-private kitchen facing pantry.
