DO NOT order from the online store. - item arrived damaged - messaged funky gifts via Facebook messenger - no reply - emailed via the online web form - no reply - phoned the store - was told quite abruptly that it was being sorted - after not hearing anything for a while I sent another Facebook message - no reply - I opened a PayPal dispute - no response - i resorted to posting on Facebook publicly to which they did reply!! I was told that they had messaged me but apparently they have issues with some messages being sent. Apparently it was Royal Mail that had damaged my item and a new one had been sent out but conveniently lost by royal mail. - refund received only after escalating the PayPal claim. - I have since been blocked from their Facebook page.
An excellent place with quite cheap prices! The gifts there are funky just like the shop title suggests, and I'm sure you can find something fun for everyone. The TY teddies there are really not that expensive considering most shop price much higher for them. We got 2 platypus TY teddies for £12, and it was extemly difficut to deside because of how cute they were. The staff was fine with us looking around for 30 minutes, and didn't bother us whilst we looked. They seemed friendly also.
Looking at the reviews, the shop is great....HOWEVER....Their online service is awful.!! If you need to return anything you are told to call them 1st, when you call them, they tell you to send an email. After sending 5 emails without a response Calling them to chase after not getting a response each time, I was told they are having problems with their email, and just to send the item back, then she said "Sorry, I have to go as the shop is rammed"..!!! So you're not going to deal with me 1st? - WOW. Didn't even get chance to grab her name, so I could use it as a reference, and she put the phone down on me. I think I'll just keep the T-shirt and use it as a rag, as it's not worth my time or effort sending it back, just for them to deny giving me permission to return it..!!
I love this place and the 2 that run it brilliant shop
I am a regular customer at Funky Gifts and I always return with new things I want to buy. The service is absolutely amazing and Anne and Rebecca and Lisa are all so helpful and polite. I have also been pierced by Anne on several occasions and I wouldn't go to any other piercer- so professional with her work but also laid back and informal which makes the otherwise scary experience relaxing. Absolutely incredible store!
Absolutely one of my favourite shops in town. I've had my tongue pierced here and my daughters ears pierced also my scaffold piercing done by Anne and bought customised father's day gifts amongst other gifts for myself and friends. Friendly staff great customer service.

One of my favourite shops ever!! Sells all my favourite things, thanks to this shop I have an amazing collection of skulls that is gradually increasing and soon my army will be ready to take over the world mwahahahaha!! I have had several piercings off Ann all of which were done in the most professional manner while maintaining a friendly easy going atmosphere which is essential especially for those that are first timers...Ann pierced my daughters ears too and she was wonderful with her and made her completely at ease. M daughter has taken up dancing and thanks to funky gifts I managed to piece together a pretty awesome Street with a hint of metal dance costume. All of my children are currently sporting rainbow hair thanks to funky gifts range of directions hair dye and their range of temporary tattoos are always a must for the summer holidays for my children because sometimes you just have to let the rock in you out! Ann and Rebecca are amazing always a pleasure to see them and always helpful and on many occasions have gone above and beyond with their amazing customer services....without a doubt one of the best shops ever!
