After booking at the Argyle motel lodge as soon as i checked in they said that Locals aren't allowed to book a stay??(Policy") So they canceled my booking and wasted my time but above all they were very un polite about there discriminating policy. So came to fountain side & got back my smile very lovely staff highly recommended. They deserve a bonus to every single staff member very caring kind & really made my day ♡ God bless Tasmania and this wonderful Hotel

Excellent location, parking at door. Meals available, quiet and well laid out for evening meal, breakfast is great. Rooms comfortable and clean, good bed.

We have had a lovely time at the Fountainside. Our room was well laid out, the bed comfortable and the bathroom wheelchair friendly even though not needed for us. The service is very friendly. We highly recommend eating at the restaurant. Judy and her colleagues are extremely helpful and friendly and the food as well as beverages are reasonably priced and delicious.

Great room on the 7th floor. Double glazing is really good - we get a nice view over the roundabout without having loud traffic noise. Nicely appointed room. Breakfast is very basic but we expected as much for the cheap price (and would rather this, than an extravagant $20+ buffet). Really friendly service when we checked in. Parking also really convenient.

Best value for money hotel we’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. Rooms are really clean, well laid out and roomy. The only hotel I’ve ever seen a recycling bin - how innovative! Make sure you don’t miss the meals downstairs - simple things done well and incredible value for money. Not the best decor going round but the food was delicious and very generous. Great value drinks menu as well. Definitely recommend for a short stay in Hobart.
