This is a place which close to the CDB.however I'm not recomend this place to anybody.Because I spend few nights in his place and experienced the horrable experience I ever had in my life in this place. When I locked in the room inside, the receptionist came and opened the door without the permission and ask another guy to saw something outside from the window. It could be a reason to do so. However, that is not ethical to happen in a hostle specially when guests are in a single room. It is not a safe place for guest to have a stay

Worst YHA in Australia....perhaps there were variable factors like drunk people and random people let in, cigarette smoke etc that are not always there (I got the trifecta!) however the lack of a lift (especially when you need to check out and change rooms every day) with many flights of stairs and an extremely tiny kitchen...very surprised...usually YHAs have a high basic comfort standard. Was an extremely exhausting experience being there(albeit no other affordable accommodation in the area below $200/night when I stayed last minute!) Location at least is good. Only stay if you have to. I will be booking elsewhere next time...in advance! I also had no pillowcase on my bed and just one flat sheet to wrap myself in the first night. Housekeeping could definitely be more fastidious! The 2 rating is definitely for the location as well as making a nice friend amidst the chaos!

The worst place I’ve seen. As soon as I entered the room, I felt such a smell that I was going to return the keys immediately. the lady at the reception was very friendly but did not have another room. i had to looking another hotel because in yha sleeping would really be about health.

YHA was charged me more than other hostel for similar room structure, but smaller kitchen. No power ports near bed. Toilets were clean and big. Best part is its in the most convenient location. The staff was projecting a rough and tough image. Particularly one bichh , who behaved as if she owned the whole city and if I seeked her house for free. This lady with curly hair was arrogant in explaining things. Not friendly host.

Position. Position. Position. A block from the waterfront, museums and transport hub. On the edge of the cbd. Our ensuite double room had a bar fridge. Bed very comfortable. Towels soft and good condition. However living on the edge means some noise. Tiny kitchen means a bit of a shuffle. 42 steps to our second floor steps could be a challenge with big bags. Terry
