Hobart’s multi-award winning Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel has built a reputation among business and leisure travellers as one of Australia's most welcoming and relaxing inner-city hotels. Renowned for spacious rooms and friendly hospitality, the property is centrally located – within a stone’s throw of the city centre and just a block from Hobart’s waterfront.

Accommodation consists of a unique choice of apartments and hotel rooms; the decor is contemporary, appointment stylish and rooms immaculately presented. A comprehensive range of business, conference and meeting services is on offer, complimented by Stockmans Restaurant and The Baaa Bar.

Reception, room service and security operate 24 hours a day. Parking is complimentary for in-house guests, as is use of onsite gymnasium, business centre, guest meeting room and guest lounge. Passes to the near-by swimming pool are also free of charge to in-house guests. High speed internet access is charged at just $5 per 24 hours and is available in all rooms and most public areas.

We had a wonderful stay at The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel. From the moment we arrived, it felt so warm and welcoming. The beautiful heritage charm gives it so much character, while still being incredibly comfortable.nThe location is fantastic — an easy walking distance to the port and so many great spots around Hobart. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and the beds were so comfortable.nThe staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it! Loved Hobart
I stayed here in Jan 2026 again after previously staying a couple of years ago and was pleased to discover it is still a welcoming and quality place to stay. The staff on this trip were wonderful from the outset. We had some specific requirements and the staff ensured those were met so our stay was comfortable and stress-free.nOur room was perfect, spacious, immaculate and comfortable.nWe dined in the restaurant and the dishes we chose were cooked to perfection and well presented. Again, the staff here were wonderful.
Loved my stay here! The location is perfect, right in the centre, so everything is easy to get to. The room was spacious and the bed super comfy, which made for a good night's sleep. Parking was a big plus, and being able to leave the car after checkout was really handy. The staff were fantastic, friendly and always happy to help. Check-in and checkout were quick and stress free. I'd definitely recommend this place and will happily stay again!
We stayed in a connected three bedroom apartment that was spacious and well equipped with a kitchen and laundry facilities. The location was great, about a 10-minute walk to the CBD Woolies and close to the pier. Being able to reserve a parking spot on-site was a big plus, as many CBD hotels only offer valet or street parking.nnThe heritage woolstore building adds charm, though ground floor rooms can feel a bit cold and lack natural light. We did experience some noise from kids running in the room above, but the reception staff were friendly and helped us resolve the issue. Overall, the rooms were clean and comfortable and we would recommend staying here as the value is great compared to other hotels in the city.
This was our first stay at The Old Woolstores and we would likely stay again. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Apartment which was clean and tidy. Great location, just a short walk to the water, and staff were friendly. Only small hiccup we had was the tv had no signal for majority of the time. Didn’t bother us but our young kids did miss watching ABC Kids while we were in the apartment.
