Hobart’s multi-award winning Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel has built a reputation among business and leisure travellers as one of Australia's most welcoming and relaxing inner-city hotels. Renowned for spacious rooms and friendly hospitality, the property is centrally located – within a stone’s throw of the city centre and just a block from Hobart’s waterfront.

Accommodation consists of a unique choice of apartments and hotel rooms; the decor is contemporary, appointment stylish and rooms immaculately presented. A comprehensive range of business, conference and meeting services is on offer, complimented by Stockmans Restaurant and The Baaa Bar.

Reception, room service and security operate 24 hours a day. Parking is complimentary for in-house guests, as is use of onsite gymnasium, business centre, guest meeting room and guest lounge. Passes to the near-by swimming pool are also free of charge to in-house guests. High speed internet access is charged at just $5 per 24 hours and is available in all rooms and most public areas.

We had a wonderful stay in a two-bedroom loft apartment at The Old Woolstore in Hobart! The rooms were impressively spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and enjoy our time. The nods to the original woolstore were a lovely touch, adding character and charm to the space. The location was fantastic – close to everything we wanted to explore.nnThe food and drinks were top-notch, adding to the overall great experience. Everything was just so convenient and comfortable, making it a memorable stay.nnWe’d absolutely love to stay again next time we’re in Hobart! Highly recommend.
We have just returned from staying at this hotel for 2 weeks and it was a very relaxed and comfortable stay, except for a couple of things. The water pressure in room 913's shower is poor & oddly we could smell things being cooked in the kitchen up through the sink, not unpleasant just weird. The only other suggestions we have is get rid of the two leather couches, they are very uncomfortable and need all 4 cushions to be used to sit without sinking we are not large people. Sharp knives please - but other than those things it was a great place to stay, the bed was really comfortable, very good linen and a good washing machine & drier, the Stockman's restaurant is very good, food cooked really well and presented nicely. Liquorland is just across the road and everywhere you want to go in Hobart is within walking distance. The desk staff were very friendly & efficient. Highly recommended stay for all travellers, especially those who want to be self sufficient.
One of the best hotels I have stayed at ever. Would atay again if I was in Hobart.nRestaurant food was good. Breakfast was good. Hotel staff was helpful when we needed help. The room was amazing. My girl friend melted when she saw it had a Jacuzzi tub.
The Old Wool Store is a solid choice for accommodation in Hobart. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the central location makes it an excellent base for exploring the city.nnOne thing to note is that the layout can be a bit of a maze, and some rooms are quite far from reception, which might be inconvenient for some guests. However, the overall experience is positive, with good amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. The bed is comfortable, though some may find it a bit on the firm side. I loved it.nnIf you’re looking for a convenient and reliable place to stay in Hobart, The Old Wool Store is worth considering!
Good hotel. Comfy bed & good pillows. Had room facing Macquarie St first night & the traffic noise was so loud that it actually woke me up a couple of times. Lovely staff member moved us to a back room for next 2 nights. Door on our next room was hard to close- without pushing it firmly, it didn’t shut.nDined in one night, no ambience in restaurant & service slow; steak & salad & chips were fine; pumpkin & chicken salad pretty ordinary. Got car on last night & no carparks left, but staff very helpful in advising on where to park & we scored a free overnight on street behind.
