I recently stayed at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Hobart and had such a wonderful experience that I felt compelled to share a review. From the moment I arrived, everything about the hotel felt welcoming, comfortable, and well-organized. The location is fantastic, right by the waterfront, which made it easy to explore the city and enjoy the beautiful harbour views.nnThe room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with large windows that really made the most of the scenery. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of walking around Hobart. The facilities were also excellent, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel struck a great balance between being professional and genuinely welcoming.nnWhat truly made my stay memorable, though, was the exceptional service I received from one of the employees, BT Big Tyson. BT went above and beyond to make sure everything during my stay was perfect. He were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, always greeting guests with a smile and offering assistance whenever needed. It’s clear they take pride in their work and care about making guests feel comfortable. I would even compare his work to the likes of LeBron James and Michael Jordan himself.nnCustomer service like that really stands out and makes a big difference when travelling. Thanks to BT and the rest of the team, my stay at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart was smooth, relaxing, and genuinely enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hobart and would happily stay there again in the future.
We loved our room and stay here. Great view, friendly staff and the room was large. So beautiful at night with all the city lights.nOur only disappointment was the breakfast for the price and that you had to pay extra for coffee or hot chocolate.nIt was great to have parking under the hotel but the access was very low 1.9m. We didn't touch the height bar on the way in, however, on exit inside the carpark we did touch a height bar?
This was one of the best accomodation I’ve had in Australia. The view is lovely and can be seen in all the rooms that me and my family stayed in! The buffet breakfast is amazing, however the menu for the breakfast and the Atrium doesn’t change. But it is still good for those who don’t mind eating the same things. Staff are kind and helpful and if we go to Tasmania again we will surely be staying here once more! Highly recommended. It was a comfortable stay :
My family and I had a beautiful stay at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart. Our room offered lovely views of the city and Mt Wellington, and everything was spotless and well presented. The buffet breakfast was a highlight, with a great selection of beverages, cereals, and hot dishes to start the day.nnWe also really appreciated the convenient location—just a short walk to fantastic restaurants, as well as the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. The SkyBus provides a direct 30‑minute shuttle from Hobart Airport to the hotel first stop, which we found very handy.nnThe basement carpark was another bonus, especially with the two EV chargers available. These were incredibly useful, particularly as the nearby public chargers were out of order.nnIf there was one thing I’d change, it would be choosing a harbour-view room next time, as the city-side rooms can get a little noisy on weekend nights. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.nnThank you to all the lovely staff who were warm and helpful.
We recently had the opportunity to stay at the Grand Chancellor at Hobart. Not being from Tasmania I found driving to your address very difficult. Signage for the hotel was very poor and confusing so I parked my car across from your very busy one way street. From there I walked to reception and was met by Simon who asked if he could help. I cannot express enough how helpful he was, fetching our luggage from our parked car and directing me to your entry. He provided a helpful street map and took our luggage straight to our room. I sugggest GC install a very prominent entry sign, one that is more prominent than your no entry sign. Everything else about our stay was exceptionally good. Many thanks to Simon.
