Beautiful hotel. Beautiful location right opposite the dock where all the great restaurants are. It's also very close to alot of locations so I would say it' the most strategic location for a stay in Hobart.nThe room is very big and clean. The TV is huge. Bed was very comfortable. Aircon operates through motion sensor it will cut when there's no detectable motion, but I didn't have any problem and my sleeps were great.nStaffs were very nice and helping. The swimming pool was a little small.nWonderful place.
Centrally located, and convenient. Staff were excellent; friendly, helpful and professional.nBoth the City view twin superior and Harbour view accessible rooms we booked were decent sized, comfortable and clean. Recommend having a relaxing drink or coffee in the atrium bar/lounge area.nOnly a couple of things to note: 1. A/C is automatic and on only when you're in the room. It will turn off a while after leaving the room. 2. On-site parking has no lift. There is a flight or two of stairs. However, concierge desk will happily arrange assistance with luggage if needed.nGreat place to stay. Definitely want to go back, and hopefully stay longer.
Great location and service but the soundproofing in the rooms is terrible, and they seriously need to invest in soft close door mechanism. Your room shakes and you hear every door up and down your floor slamming every time someone goes in and out. Woken from 5am on both mornings we stayed here. Would not recommend if you are not a heavy sleeper.
Nothing to Complain about. Do you want a hotel that just exactly what it says on the tin? Grand Chancellor is exactly that. The room was tidy, the bed was very comfortable and despite having a premium location overlooking the harbour the sound of the busy roads was well muted. The bathrooms were well appointed and the shower was spacious. TV integrated with netflix/optus sport etc. The view was lovey and i got to see a gorgeous sunrise over the waterfront. The Pool was suitable and the gym better equipped than most. The Sauna was the highlight for me. Check-in and out was seamless and at 11am Huzzah! and the coffee in the Atrium was delicious. I ate out locally so cannot comment on the dining facilities. Overall a fantastic stay with everything being to standard or exceeding it and no complaints. and no complaints is a perfect score as far as I am concerned.
Came here to wait for a friend in the lobby, but I ended up doing a bit of work and the vibes here honestly are GREAT! Kyaw made me a fabulous coffee, he’s incredibly kind and even gave me great local tips! It’s great to work near the water and with to architecture and staff like Kyaw who made my experience phenomenal - I’ll definitely come back here!
