Always stay here when in Hobart. It’s central to everything. Rooms are always spotless, beds comfy and the staff can’t do enough for you. Did I forget to mention… breakfasts are well priced and absolutely the best! Highly recommend
We had a city facing room which was fine. On each floor there was a corner lounge overlooking the harbour which was a great feature. Pool was fine. Just one night for us and overall would stay again. I’d suggest an upgrade to the gym equipment. Bit cheap and out of date. Service was fine but when guests arrive and there’s three staff, you’re the only guests checking in, and none look up, I never find that a great welcome. Suggestion is, look up, greet, and say I’ll be with you in a moment. The little things make a difference.
We had an awesome stay at the GrandnChancellor! The location is spot on - right by the harbour and an easy walk to Salamanca and Battery Point. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and a big shout out to Julie who made us feel really welcome. Our room was clean, spacious, and had an amazing view of the harbour. Would definitely stay here again!nThank you Anne H
Hard to beat in Hobart - pay a bit more and get great views, rooms are always clean and tidy. FOH staff are excellent.The Cocktail atrium is great. A good buffet breakfast, even though it is a little expensive.
Great views of the harbour from the bedrooms, the gym and pool were a great addition to the stay. After a few big tours around the area we thoroughly enjoyed the room service- beef burger and seafood chowder. Close to all city shopping and supermarket 10min walk, seafood and gelato shops on the harbour and Hogs Breath Restaurant around the corner. Easy walk on Sat morning to the Salamanca Markets with lots of local handicraft and produce.
