I love this independent cinema so much! Very close to the city, clean cinema interiors, decent leg room, great customer service at the bar, and polite moviegoers. My boyfriend and I came to watch the restoration of the Seven Samurai, and had the best time. By far my best movie going experience. For an independent cinema in Melbourne, I would say that the screen sizes in this cinema is generous. The wine I had with the movie was amazing, and a huge serving too. We also ordered nachos to eat while watching and it was delicious. I also love that this is the only place I can go to in Melbourne that consistently screens old Hollywood classics, which is my favorite genre. I will definitely be back. I had the best time.
Fantastic little cinema hidden in Elsternwick. Perfect for a fun girls' movie night or a romantic date night! The mood lighting really helps set the perfect atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff, and great selection at the bar!
I've been here twice now, on a Tuesday when it's at it's cheapest, and had a good time.nSome of the rooms are rather small and intimate but there are bigger rooms for the more popular movies.nThe cinema it's self has a vintage feel to it, the seats are comfortable with good leg room, the popcorn warm and delicious. The seats also have great little wooden tables on either side to fit all your snacks and drinks on. You can order wine or a selection of other alcohol drinks, but they also have a good range of non alcoholic beverages as well as other snacks and of course choctops.nSome of the screens are rather difficult to find if you don't know where you're going, but the staff are more than happy to explain where your theatre is.
Great small concert venue. Saw Fifth of Nisan play. Great evening.
Lovely independent cinema. Great ‘classic’ old features with period details like stained glass etc. Booked online which was easy. Snack bar with all the classics popcorn, choc tops etc was good with alcoholic beverages if desired. Seats were okay but I wouldn’t want to see a long movie as I was starting to feel a little uncomfortable by the end.
