We stopped in here on a bike ride around the wetlands. The kids and adults found things of interest. The attendant was very helpful, informative and friendly. Definitely worth five minutes, or more, of your time, if you are visiting the wetlands.

The facilities are good, as is the walking track. But years of encroachment by the main road appears to have degraded the place. It is full of weeds.

Really friendly staff who are only too happy to happy help and educate. Just a small centre with just enough information. The walking track is simple, flat and open. It makes for a pleasant walk and made interesting if you take a map that is provided from the educational centre which helps explain what you are looking at. Without the map the walk for the average person would be far less interesting

Very relaxing. 2km walking track is very doable for most people. Friendly staff. Bring mozzie repellant and sunscreen.

My partner and I enjoyed the afternoon cycling through Boondal Wetlands. We had forgotten the insect repellant and were so grateful that the information centre had roll ons available for use because the mosquitoes were so thick. The bicycle/walking paths are very wide and well maintained and every 200 metres they are marked with the remaining distance which was like having my own personal trainer encouraging me, especially on the way back when I was getting really tired. The wetland track is about 8.5 kms round trip and mostly easy riding. We rode all the way to Nudgee beach and had a break at the park overlooking the water. This was approximately another 4 km round trip. We took it pretty easy so riding time was about 1.25 hours for the return trip.
