I am appalled by the customer service I received from one of the receptionists. I bought a new phone and tried logging into the app which ended up with myself being logged out. I'm understandingly overwhelmed because I have a flight to catch at 6:30 the next morning and their branch shut at 4PM, the time I finish work. The woman on the phone was aggressively rude to the point where I started crying and had to tell her to stop talking the way she was to me, that the phone calls were recorded and that she needs to be a human. She kept telling me she didn't understand why my texts weren't going through then 15 minutes later she tells me "is this your number?" as she reads out my old number.... This should've been asked at the start of the phone call. At the end of the day she was NO HELP! In the morning I ended up racing to a Bendigo Branch in Sydney to which I found out she put in my WRONG EMAIL after giving it to her multiple times AND DIDNT UPDATE MY NUMBER WHEN SHE WAS YELLING AT ME ABOUT NOT RECIEVING A TEXT MESSAGE! The ladies at the china town branch were incredibly helpful and said they'd bring up my experience with management. Awful experience. After reading other reviews I'm hoping management does something about it.
Very disappointed with the service I received at this branch. All other branches were great, but NOT this one. Lady, who works there don't remember her name unfortunately was somewhere outside her working place shopping? and came back with the attitude. She did not greet me and looked annoyed, as I was a disturbance for her. I did not get any help with my App, which didn't work for some reason. After second time I've tried my App and still any success, lady just said "try it at home and if it doesn't work go to another branch". Seriously? I left very disappointed and with the same result I came - their App didn't work still. I just wasted my time and didn't have any professional help. NOT happy.
We used the ATM to try and get out a couple of grand with a card from a different bank. The ATM did not state what the maximum amount allowed for withdrawal was and did not provide options to choose for their standard amounts. The ATM then confiscated the card and when we tried to get the card bank from this branch, we were told that they wouldn't give back the card because it's not a Bendigo Bank card....
Rude Staff Member and Woeful Complaint Resolution. I'm quite slow to anger I prefer to keep happy but a female staff member at this branch got me there in 30 seconds flat. Never in my life has someone spoke so poorly to me. She was rude, condescending and disrespectful. I was so shocked and angered at the way I was spoken to, I had to walk away. Not at all what I expected when I walked in. I had on previous occasions dealt with two other staff members at the branch and had found them pleasant. Little things I let slide but this wasn't little at all so I wrote a letter of complaint to the Bendigo Bank. Unfortunately the reply I received was incredibly inadequate. They totally ignored my complaint. They didn't care at all about my experience. It seemed they cared more about protecting their own. To you Bendigo Bank, NEVER AGAIN. I like to bank were I get treated like a valuable customer - and that's not with you.
The worst banking experience I have encountered. A very rude unhelpful man wouldn’t resolve my issue and when I provided ID, he flicked away my cards and said “they’re just a bunch of plastic “ he refused to help me because I didn’t have a photo ID, I had a temporary replacement drivers licence while waiting for a new one. I also had Medicare card, three credit cards, eftpos card, recent gas bill and also offered to show him my other online banking apps and statement from CBA . I explained I had a serious medical condition and needed to return to hospital and resolution was imperative, but he still refused. I then called Bendigo bank, the crimes investigation team and customer service team namely Tara were amazing, helpful and apologetic for the poor service I received by the staff member at mermaid waters. They were able to resolve my issues by phone. Mermaid waters branch is by far the worst branch I have dealt with.
Oh my god. The customer service is horrible; was signing up a joint account when we were met with the stupidest representative of your bank who covered up for it with snarky comments. We assume this is the same woman referred to in multiple reviews. The thought of having to deal with her every time we wanted to go to the bank was too much. The Ended up going to heritage bank right next door.
Natalie and carol at Bendigo mermaid are fabulous!! They bent over backwards for me and kept me informed every step of the way of my loan , id recommend them for any of your needs .. I’ve just done my landlord insurance with them as well .. definitely one of the best banks I’ve ever felt with Couldn’t do enough for me Natalie’s smile and mannerisms are very welcoming and you can’t help but give you a smile for the day !! Thanks again guys ! You made my entire experience a pleasure Warren
