The quality of cars from Apex is sub standard. The cars are old, dirty and poorly maintained with very high kilometers. I would never use them again for car rental as the service is poor and they then look to charge any additional extras on car return even when not valid. Best to avoid these cowboys if possible.

The quality of the car was real bad. It took us 5 minutes to get into car in the first place because the car key was too old and used so the buttons didn’t click properly. The usb plug in didn’t work either so we couldn’t charge the phone while we used google map for navigation. However, the worst thing about this company is that they forgot to transfer the bond which we were to receive after 3 business days as soon as we returned the car! I had to call them after a week to ask them what was wrong and they didn’t even apologise for it. I’m giving a 2 star rating just for the fact the car did a proper job while my family came to visit Melbourne for a week.

Choose Apex for a most ‘MEMORABLE’ driving exp. My family rented two 8-seater in Dec 2017. Examples of my ‘AWESOME’ experience: 1) abrupt handover with no one to provide on-site explanations of how to adjust t back seats, control panel. T cars r parked 500m away fr t office. 2) simple, basic (read even idiot will know) stuff like fuel tank button not working not highlighted. Even after we highlighted, was taught how to manually over-ride w no Apparent reporting. Means if t next person rent t car, they would be caught if they did not check. N their only option is to call to seek advice which I am certain will be frustrating to understand over t phone (provided u r lucky enough to reach them - see 3 below). All t baby seat and booster seats qty and configurations wrong! 3) battery went dead for one car - AFTER WE HV DROVE FOR 3hrs and 250km and we restart t engine after a 20 Min break. Tried to call all t numbers in their invoice - only manage to reach t last no which is a 3rd party response team. Was told that it was due to GPS and handphone charging and that we shdnt use these when engine is off or idling. Clearly t reason is POOR MAINTENACE and MAXIMISATION OF PROFIT by running t battery to sub-optimal level. Pls use APEX for the most ‘MEMORABLE’ and ‘UNFORGETTABLE’ driving experience. Pls use APEX if you want phenomenal delays, frustrations, children wailing and adults whining. 1) 转交手速一点都不清楚。没有人在旁解释 2）打油厢按钮坏了没有交代 3） 小孩椅弄错没有交代 4） 4⃣️个联络号码 - 只有一个能接通 （替代公司） 5） 一辆车的电池死了 - 替代公司解释是应为我们用GPS导航系统和充手机。简直离谱 - 请问那为这么车上安装GPS导航系统和充手机配件？是美观吗？而且是我开了250公里后！电池应该是满的 如果您要孩子哭泣，大人烦恼，老人疲惫 - 请用最‘专业’，最‘友善’的APEX

Excellent customer service. They allow me to change my car pickup from the airport to the city as I only found out that Avalon airport has no Apex Car Rental pickup on the day of collection. However, the quality of the car is poor. Got a car with broken seat belt (which they didn't attempt to fix before renting out), faulty air-conditioning system and the USB and AUX port are not working as well :/

A safe car should be the first thing you shuold consider, than is service, price. The Kia carnival 8 seater I hired was not safe, the rear left tyre was bald and I found it when the second day I go to Auto repair to fix flat tyre. The mechanic told me the car with this tyre shouldn't be rented to customer, it was not safe. Second, the recommended regular service kilometer was 134,000km on the sticker stick on windscreen. But the ODO of the car was already 140,000km. They might do( or might not) the regular service without update the sticker. The thing I would grateful is they're willing to pay $40 for the fixing of flat tyre, and they allow me driving to the bridgestone in next town to get a new tyre, but I didn't cuz I've had a tour booking at the moment. Hope they will change it for the next customer.
