Europcar MELBOURNE CITY

During the last Christmas holidays I had to rent a car for 2 days to discover with some friend the beautiful Victoria State. I looked at many sites and the only provider that had cars available was Europcar, that, however, had also a very high rate. I chose a big car as we had to drive for more than 16 hours in 2 days but, when I received the car I found out that they gave to me a small one, as, they say, it was the peak period and they didn't have any bigger car available. I paid 275 AUD/day to have a very small car... unbelievable! And I discovered on the day of the return that they had the garage with many bigger cars!!! NO WORDS! I also had the necessity to contact the office during the rent at the general phone number. I started to call them since 8 am but I received an answer just at 2 pm. I give 2 stars just because they gave to me a thorough answer to my question. Anyway I suggest to NOT rent a car with them in Australia!

RUINED HOLIDAYS - STAY AWAY NO MATTER THE PRICE THEY OFFER. I showed up on time to pick up the car that I booked in advance. I was informed there and then that my reservation had been cancelled (wasn't me) and they (suspiciously) were not able to trace how it became cancelled. They also said they didn't have a single car available in ALL MELBOURNE... Bottom line: my holidays were ruined.

I found the service here the fastest and most efficient of all car hire places. So easy to pick up and return, in and out. A good location on this side of the city.

Excellent attentive service. Booked a cabriolet and had a feeling we’d be let down but the opposite, they even gave us an upgrade. Great team, lovely people.

Quite good. We were worried becoz of the previous comments. But it is quite pleasant to rent a car here: Service is nice.
