Highly recommended. These cars are cheap, if you are looking for a week or more they are hard to beat. There are some things to consider. Returning cars at opening times only seems to be the agreement. Other hirers let you leave keys in a box in an after hours chute, this option doesn't appear available. The lowest insurance option has an enormous excess. I think $3500, and you'll need to have that available, on a credit card or on debit. Otherwise, you'll get stung for a stiff premium. I made that mistake once and have seen others stuck too. Those are my only complaints/warnings however. In terms of pick up and drop off it is relatively quick, about 10 minutes, which is faster than other car hire places. It's conveniently located near several tram stops and about a 15 minute walk from Southern Cross Station. The staff were good, the cars are normally nice, perhaps a little worn but nothing too much to worry about. When you're hiring cheap you don't expect the cars to be perfect. Better value for longer term, not so competitive for a one day rental usually.

Easy to deal with and the cars are very well priced. Nissan Tida has travelled >200k but car was very road worthy and comfortable for the great ocean road travel to Port Fairy and back. I would hire from BC again.

Worst car rental store ever. They don't care about the customer, they only want money. I don't recommed this place at all. Go to east coast car rentals, you will save money and customer service is excellent.

Firstly, it must be said that this is how the booking system works at BC Car Rentals: 1. The booking works so that you must first book and see if there is a car available - naturally this means you should always book early to avoid any unexpected surprises. 2. They have quite good customer service from what I have seen - I called them the first thing in the morning and there was someone friendly willing to help me out as soon as I dialed in. 3. Website is not the most intuitive, but it works well and gets the job done. 4. They allow for P-Platers to book, which is a bonus - although this is quite expensive, they are one of the few that allows this.

One star is too much for this company. They claim to record all the stratches and dents from previous owners but I’m wondering why it was still there after customers paid for the damages. To anyone reading this, do not fall for their cheap prices, because you will be paying extra like how we had to pay $180 extra for a scratch we weren’t responsible for. It ruined my holiday and I wish I had spent a little extra on a more trusted car rental business. If you do decide to hire from them, take photos of every inch of that car as proof. You’re welcome.
