I had an excellent experience at West Harbour Medical Centre. The staff are incredibly professional, caring, and attentive. The doctors took the time to listen to my concerns and provided clear explanations. The clinic is clean, well-organised, and runs efficiently. Very happy to be enrolled here!

I have been a patient at this clinic for years and never had an issue until owners changed. The male drs here are great but I’ve seen Dr Alka Kheterpal twice now The only female GP and left both times feeling spoken over and not listened to. Today was my second time seeing this GP as she was the only one available when I needed to be seen and I’m extremely disappointed with her professionalism and will to help her patients.nI arrived early to my appointment and was seen 15mins late which I didn’t say anything about initially because I understand sometimes they can run behind due to other patients.nMy whole appointment she spoke over me not letting me answer her questions properly or explain anything before she would repeat the same question as I’m trying to answer it. She then proceeded to brush past most of what I was trying to explain to her and rush me out I had hardly been in the room with her for about 20mins and she barely put any effort into helping me with my issue.nJust before I was on my way out I tried to ask if I could still pick up a prescription which the pharmacy didn’t have in stock the last time i had been, which she proceeded to aggressively cut me off saying she doesn’t have time for anything else which is when I brought up her seeing me late and that I was just asking a quick question and not bringing up another medical issue. She then got very rude and defensive and tried to argue with me even though I was more than aware of my time spent in there and how late I was seen.nnIf patients are sent away for being 15mins late why is my time as a PAYING CLIENT not valued the same. This shouldn’t be made into an issue for your clients and I have left feeling unheard, disrespected and now needing to find a new clinic despite being a client since I was young and never having any issues with the previous owners and drs.nnDr Alka Kheterpal you need to be more aware of the value of other people’s time, not just your own and if there are any issues handle it with more respect/grace and LISTEN to the feedback you’re getting so that nobody else has to go through this again.

I have been a patient of the surgery from the day it opened, and there have been many changes in the last couple of years, but still some familiar faces that are there.nThe reception and nursing staff are exceptional as are the Doctors.nThe fee's in my opinion are very reasonable in comparison to other practices in the Auckland area.

Scheduling for appointment was easy, emails responded almost immediately.nSuper friendly medical staff.nNurse took the time to explain the test I was about to take clearly.nThe entire experience at the clinic was fantastic !

The West Harbour Medical Centre is a professional general practice surgery that looks after its patients. The service is friendly and warm and I trust my Doctor with my health. Appointments are easy to get, you can even book online. Highly recommended.
