Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre

We chose Waipuna for our last three nights of our New Zealand trip for two reasons. One was location, a little more out of the downtown busyness and two was when I did a search on Expedia it came up as having a spa. That it did not, so was a little disappointed, but they did have business that would come. We ended up not bothering. We did enjoy our stay though. Room was great two level room. I forget how it was referred to.. Room was spacious and well appointed with extras for dining in. We enjoyed the spa pool. We expected it to be more of a hot tub than it was, but was relaxing none the less. Hotel staff were wonderful. Restaurant on site was great. Nice trail from the hotel to the Panmure Basin walking trail. Lots of greenery and lawn area, with lots of bird activity close to the estuary.nRoom was clean. The hotel itself is decent, but unfortunately the experience has been overshadowed by some very strange and frustrating service issues.nnAt check-in, I was only given one room key, which is unusual since most hotels typically provide two. When I accidentally misplaced it, instead of simply issuing a replacement, I was told they didn’t have any more keys. The front desk staff had to physically let me into my room and mentioned there were no additional keys available. I found this baffling — how can a hotel charging around $1,000 for a stay not have enough keys for its guests? It raises serious questions about basic operations and guest convenience.nnThere was also an odd situation regarding ice. We were told to go to the bar to get some, but when we did, they tried to hand us a single glass with ice in it rather than providing a reasonable amount. It felt unnecessarily awkward and unaccommodating.nnOverall, while the property itself is fine, the service left a lot to be desired. The staff, for the most part, came across as rude, and the overall experience just gave off some strange, unwelcoming vibes. For the price point, I expected much better hospitality and professionalism.

This hotel has a lot of great amenities. Some of the rooms are a vit work and could use maintenance vut its super close to Ikea, Sylvia Park, and Mt. Eden shops. The buffet food offerings and menu is pretty reasonable and easy to get a bite without too much travel. The staff are what makes it though. Everyone from the restaurant, housekeeping, and front desk staff are so friendly and willing to go the extra mile to accomodate a request or help the guests. I'll stay there all the time when I visit Auckland. Easy to get to and plenty of free parking.

Awesome facility, great location, easy to find. Lots of parking, easy check in/check out. Lovely spacious room, very clean and tidy. Beds were extremely comfortable and had a great sleep in them.nThe restaurant was buffet style and went there for dinner and breakfast. $50 an adult for dinner and $12 for children 3-6 under 3 free! which was definitely value for money. We would have spent that much and more on uber eats. The dishes were fresh and tasted like home cooked meals- a real treat after travelling all day long. It was probably the yummiest pasta I’ve ever eaten in my life!nService from the team was exceptional and they were polite and helpful.nBreakfast the next day was just as good. So much variety, fresh and tasty, and excellent service once again.nWill definitely recommend to family and friends and are keen to stay again next time we are in Auckland.

This hotel is wonderful. Cleanliness is 5star. Spacious room. Spacious bathroom with bathtub. Friendly & helpful staff. Plenty parking and parking is FREE.nBREAKFAST : was good. Not plenty choices but overall we enjoyed. Definitely i will come back and stay here.nnBut only one minus point is, they dont have a luggage weight machine. Should have one for customer's convenience.
