Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre

I attended a conference here and found the facilities generally good, though the upstairs room we initially used was uncomfortably hot, with insufficient air conditioning.nnFood and drinks were served promptly throughout the event, and the evening dinner was well-organized. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring everything ran smoothly. While the food was fairly standard, it was reasonable for the price paid.nnCar parking was excellent, and the venue’s setting by the inlet/bay added a lovely touch. Overall, I would recommend this location.

Value for money! Room was spacious and the facilities are great. My toddler enjoyed the pool. We availed a breakfast and it was worth it. Great location as it is near Sylvia Park. Make sure to request the room with a view. I was just hoping to have a microwave in the room but that’s no biggie.

I had 0 expectations but the place was really really good!!!nDuty Manager Andrew was incredibly kind to let us check in earlier even when they were fully booked which made our day, as we were sooooo tired from the trip to Auckland.nThe rooms are honestly really good for the price. A bit outdated, but can see they have been refurbished. Top notch bed and pillows and even the shower was great.nIt’s a 15 minute walk to Sylvia Park big nice mall, where you also have access to the train that takes you into Town.nMy only “complaint” is that both nights we said hello to the night staff and they completely ignored us!nThe restaurant looked good but we skipped breakfast because it was very pricey!nWill definitely stay here again if we get the chance.

Always a great experience to eat here! 2nd time this week. Thursd 18 Dec really enjoyed buffet breakfast here with friends. Great selection of hot n cold foods, coffee, juice etc. Great service too topped with fantastic view! Can't beat that! Thankyou Waipuna! Merry Xmas!

Last year I booked a Bureau Room for 2 nights, the room was very spacious with 2 queen beds. It's perfect for a family stay if you book with this room type. The bathroom is equipped with plenty of towels and there is a bathtub. Hotel amenities are very complete and the room is very comfortable. What is really unfortunate is that during my stay I was charged $200 for the bond and according to the staff the money will be returned after checking out. Unfortunately for some reason the money was not returned at checkout and finally I got the money back exactly one month after the date of stay lol. I don't know why that happened, whether it was because I was using a visa or something.
