Mount Richmond Hotel & Conference Centre

Stayed at Mount Richmond Hotel for a week whilst visiting Auckland from overseas. Despite the location being slightly out from Auckland city, it is an easy drive into the city or public transport is available.nnFrom the moment we arrived, the young gentleman working reception in the afternoons was very kind and welcoming and extremely helpful, even providing recommendations after we had an issue with our car.nnThe room was spotless, and had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was extremely comfortable allowing for a great night's sleep every night.nnThe hotels facilities, including the pool and spa were excellent and great to use after a long day of sightseeing.nnWould highly recommend staying here!

The location was good for our purposes. The hotel rooms were very small and needed a lot work, leaking air con, weird smell, cracked bathroom sink, mold in the shower area. The staff were very friendly and helpful but air con dripped water our entire stay as there was no spare rooms to shift us to. Pillows and towels were very skinny but bedding appeared clean.

Rooms were tidy. Bed was comfortable for me. Low for the folks. However, no chair. On arrival, bathroom tap was loose, tho fixed a few days later. When room was cleaned, coffees and face cloths not renewed.nStandard tv was a joke. Either no reception at all, or it pixelated!nThe place in general needs a lot of 'TLC'.nDad is what we would term as 'elderly and infirm'.nThe tiles outside are uneven, and quite dangerous. There are a lot of 'lips' uneven services moving around the complex.nI really think that they need to renovate, and think of this at the same time.nThe location for us was okay.nThe staff were friendly.

This hotel has outstanding professional staff service. I had a couple very basic inquiries just one of THOSE moments that would probably had elicited an audible groan and eye roll from the average person, but they only helped and allayed my anxiety.nMy room was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed.nThere is a bus stop immediately across the road, and after less than 10 minutes, arrives at Sylvia Park.nI didn't get a chance to fully explore everything this hotel has to offer, but I was extremely satisfied with what I had experienced.

I wouldnt stay here again. The shower was dirty, everything was outdated. The girl on reception didnt speak good english. Come on!!!! Gaming lounge attracts locals making guest feel unsafe.
