Large comfy rooms, equipped with modern air-conditioning but preserved the unique vintage furnishings.nnBathroom was very clean and spacious, fitted with a bathtub which I certainly enjoyed. Hot water was available at all times.nnBed was firm but comfortable, pillows a little thin but still nice.nnThe hotel is situated in the heart of Hamilton with a large selection of restaurants within walking distance. The communal balcony provides a beautiful view of the city.
You pay for what you get. It's cheap and affordable, the rooms are large with good amenities. Beds were comfortable. The building itself is old and could do with an upgrade. The location is good if you want to stop through and want restaurants. The walls are considerably thin... you can hear neighbours slamming doors. The parking situation however is an issue. $20 for parking on top of what you paid initially. We used street parking you get 2 hours free per day on Collingwood st. I thought it would be aesthetically nicer but you do get what you pay for.
OK so this is a 4 star hotel and shows its age. Gave it 5 stars because it delivers on 4 star rating and i had no issues whatsoever. Although not modern, rooms are clean, comfortable and quite large. Everything is pretty old but clean and functional. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great. Only stayed one night but was perfectly fine.
TV was tiny but we weren't there to watch that. The room had a bath complete with a plug. Lots of parking available for $20 per night in the heart of the city. Location was a bit grotty but safe.
The reviews on google that are 4 or 5 star are written/purchased by the owners of this motel. If you don't believe me then stay there yourself and tell me that you agree with those fake reviews. This is by far the worst motel that I have ever encountered in my life, the indian lady at reception that I dealt with is very rude and incompetent with no customer service skills whatsoever. The building is old, decrepit, outdated and in serious need of repair. Location is awful with lack of access to parking, as well as extreme street disturbance. Hotel policies are unfair and possibly illegal. I will be doing everything I can to ensure that everyone I know is warned about this place so they do not make the same mistake I did, in booking to stay here.
