The hotel is aged and needs an upgrade. We stayed in a standard room and upon walking in, the air was musty and damp. It just smelt so bad. The fan in the bathroom did nothing for the condensation. The under sheet was a stained brown colour. The machines in the gym don’t work properly. The buffet breakfast and dinner are good. The wait staff are lovely and friendly. I probably could have found a cleaner motel for the same price.
Good value for money. Although the room is somewhat dated it was clean, with a comfortable bed and a high pressure shower. Toiletries, ironing board, bar fridge, milk and tea/coffee - available. The walls are quite thin though. One can hear everything your neighbors are doing, including ablutions. Bring earplugs. Btw, hairdryer wasn't provided.
Went to Hamilton for the weekend, was recommended this hotel to stay at... made the reservation, by a friendly staff member, place was easy to get to via Google maps, friendly staff upon checkin, got a lovely accessible room... had the best nights sleep, had a lovely breakfast at the restaurant, and good value for money...nI have to say I'll come back again and recommend this hotel to family and friends
The rooms have been upgraded / improved considerably on the ground floor, I visited an ex colleague while she was down from Auckland for work and her room was of suitable taste and cleanlinessnCould only fault one thing which would be the bed cover had a stain but this may not have been picked up during daylight hours which is when rooms are serviced
This hotel certainly deserves attention, although it does not reach the perfection of five stars. Its location is very convenient – the proximity to the main attractions and transport hubs makes it an excellent choice for travelers. The rooms are clean and spacious enough, although the decor could have been more modern. The service leaves much to be desired. The staff is polite, but not always prompt. The breakfasts are good, the choice is varied, but it can be crowded during rush hours.
