A large group of us stayed every 8 weeks this year, staff at reception were always so friendly and helpful. The bar however was another story the man is grumpy and down right rude, everytime without fail!!! Finally on our very last night in November this year, there was a female managing the bar with 2 younger girls and it was a completely different story, friendly, welcoming and nothing was touch trouble.
Staff at the front counter were absolutely lovely!! Unfortunately that's where the amazing service ended. Housekeeping are extremely lazy, often only replacing the towels, not even bothering to make the beds or restock the amenities. Beds had stains and dead spiders on them. Shower spills water all over the entire bathroom floor, resulting in multiple towels used to mop it up. Not what I would expect from a full service hotel, definitely not stay again
Staff were friendly. I needed to move rooms due to strong bleach smell and they handled it great.nnBuildings and rooms were disappointing. Main buildings are very dated and tired.nnI believe I was in a refurbished room, beds were super clean and tidy, carpets were new etc, but Management need to spend a night in the rooms to figure out what works and what doesn't.nnRooms have only 1 x tea spoon... Doors don't close on their own as carpet is new, fridges are really noisy at night, the 4 sky channels are fuzzy, the working desk has glass top meaning your laptop mouse won't work, no USB ports, bathroom has shampoo, conditioner in bottles but old style soap, and finally the shower doors were not very clean, looking through them was like you had cataracts... These issues were in both rooms I stayed in.nnThe rooms are almost there, but definitely not 4 star... It's the small things that need addressing.....
Was a good stay. Food was good quality. However, I found that in addition to the $7 tray fee, all room service foods were $1 more for the same menu in the bar/foier restaurant.nThe burger was outstanding, but when the place got a bit busier, the restaurant supplied a shortened menu, which when compared, had all the lowest price dishes removed forcing you only the highest price options. Felt that it was a bit greedy and deceptive.
Room was well appointed but the new carpet made opening and closing the door quite difficult. The exterior of the buildings are very tired and drag the Hotel down in my estimation. In all six interactions with staff only one left me feeling positive about the service.
