The hotel itself was beautiful, stunning backyard filled with big trees, birds and cute bunnies running around. The bedroom was bigger than we were expecting however the breakfast was mid continental. The bed was also itchy, constantly had moths, bugs and spiders coming into the room doesn’t bother me however if you’re scared of bugs this might be a problem however the staff were super friendly.
What a scam, wow. Went to Booking.com, filtered on “bath/hot tub”, found a suite with a picture of a bath, paid a lot of money only to found out at the arrival that you must request the suite with a bath, so no bath for us. Imagine booking a suite for your partner’s birthday, and look forward to it the whole day, only to find out you only have a shower..nnWhy would you advertise with a bath if they are possible not available for every guest? That for me a scam and I can’t believe this is possible in NZ. Just advertise a suite with bath and a suite without a bath. This is ridiculous.nnCould have saved half of the money by booking a motel. Would have been the same experience.
This is probably one of the best places we’ve ever been. We had some problems with the rental company and couldn’t pick up our car on the day we were supposed to.nThe staff at the hotel were super friendly to cancel our booking for free and help us book another one on a different day. When we spent the first night it was amazing and we wanted to stay one more night.nThey made it happen even brought the breakfast to our room.nnKeep in mind that this is not a 300$ a night stay, so as far as “value for money” you can’t get a better apartment around this area.nnThe area is quiet and peaceful. The landscape is amazing.
We loved this peaceful quiet place to stay. Beautiful surroundings and comfortable rooms… friendly team
There are many annoying things in both the hotel and rooms themselves:nHotel:n- no liftn- mediocre breakfastnnRooms:n- We found an insect in our bedsheets.n- In the bathroom the tap is extremely close to the sink, making it difficult to wash hands.n- The mirror is only for people below 170 cmn- The bathroom's door isn't a full one - there is a gap of 10 cm to the floor. No lock btw.nnPros:n- Cute rabbits in the backyard you can observe from the balcony.
