We stayed here unexpectedly for 10 nights due to a family member being admitted to hospital while we were spending Xmas in Raglan.nThe staff were amazing and couldn’t have done more for our family. The rooms were spotless and serviced daily. The beds were comfortable. Nice and quiet and close to the hospital. We are blown away by how accommodating and compassionate the staff were, considering our situation. The reception staff especially Tania and the cleaners were amazing especially Denise who would chat with us daily and would ask how our family member was doing in hospital. We returned to Wellington today and Tania allowed us to leave a car in their car park until another family member is able to pick it up. That is exceptional customer service and we are so grateful to all staff at Ventura. We will definitely be back in the future. We will actually miss staying in such a lovely place! We had a very pleasant stay. The rooms were well appointed and, for the price, it was an absolute bargain. Clean, functional, and comfortable rooms, with lovely staff and the bonus of free parking.
Stayed here recently and had a very poor experience. The room was not clean — there were roaches present and visible stains on the bed sheets, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel.nnI raised concerns with staff but received no response or assistance. Basic hygiene and cleanliness standards were not met, and I did not feel comfortable staying in the room.nnI would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning.
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel and to request a refund.nnWe checked in and were in the hotel room for only about 1.5 hours, as we had gone out for dinner. At approximately 12:30 a.m., a member of your staff came to our room and knocked on the door, stating that we were being noisy. I would like to clarify that we were only talking inside the room, which does not constitute noise.nnAdditionally, after knocking, the staff member remained standing outside our room, which made us feel uncomfortable and disturbed our privacy. This behavior was unexpected and unprofessional, especially at such a late hour.nnIf there had been any concern, the appropriate and professional approach would have been to contact us by phone rather than knocking on the door and lingering outside. This incident completely disrupted our night and made us feel unwelcome.nnDue to this experience, we decided to leave the hotel shortly after, just 1.5 hours after checking in. As we were unable to continue our stay because of this unprofessional conduct, I respectfully request a full refund for the booking.nnI hope this matter will be reviewed seriously, and I look forward to your prompt response.
I paid to park at this hotel and had serious parking issues. Another vehicle blocked my car in the hotel carpark, preventing me from leaving normally. When I raised this with staff, they were unwilling or unable to assist, and no attempt was made to resolve the situation or escalate it to management.nnFor a paid parking facility, this level of support is unacceptable. If you rely on being able to access your vehicle, be aware that staff may not help if a problem arises
