My last experience in Hamilton VR Hotel wasn’t the greatest and very outdated. We decided to try The Ramada as it is well known world wide. To be honest, it wasn’t much better, and the definition of a studio apartment definitely varies from hotel to hotel. What was listed on booking.com as features was not the same when we arrived there. There was a really small counter top space for a kettle and some tea and coffee and a fridge. We were happy to know the upon arrival there was also a microwave as well.nnThe was no view in our apartment, and there was all bright lights in the room or 2 small bedroom side table lights with no in between.nnWe were glad to have a parking space but that was also an additional fee as well.nnGood location overall and check in process was really easy and simple.nn1 out of the 4 pillows were decent quality and puffy.nnToilet paper was actually not nice at all…. Small issue, but at the very minimal that’s something I would be spending my money on for customers experience.nEveryone gotta poop you know!
Booked via work, otherwise I think I'd of walked out if I paid personally... Bathroom stank of stale water and drains and the window in the room itself didn't open so the whole room smelled. The bed was like sleeping on a crash mat but with some extra creaking thrown in for good measure and pillows that were both soft to start then thin and rock solid once you put your head on them. Black mould spots under the window and generally 'well worn' aesthetic to much of the rest of the room. Suppose if you booked really early and got a great deal it would be worth it, but for online prices between $150-200 you'd be better off with an Airbnb
The location is very nice and the staff were friendly. The rooms were a bit smaller than expected. The facilities and room were more dated than expected and the layout of the property was strange. Getting to the parking garage from the room was like a maze. Not likely to stay again.
Rooms were comfortable enough for an overnight stay - could hear people talking in hallway if they walked past door though.nFree parking on a first in first served basis.nHandy location with walking distance to restaurants, shopping, casino etc
As others have said, the bathroom is very small and you have to step up into it, and take a second step up to get into the shower.nThe room was small and dated, but did have air-conditioning, which worked well.nThere's a small fridge but no microwave.nThe room could have been cleaner, and the beds weren't very comfortable.nGood location though.
