Heartland Ambassador Hotel Hamilton

My mother and I stayed here for two nights. Absolutely loved our stay. The reception staff were amazing and a real asset for the hotel. They were so helpful, especially when we had a minor issue with the laundry facilities. We'll definitely look to book here the next time we're in Hamilton.

I wanted to share my experience at the hotel. Unfortunately, I found the lack of communication regarding ongoing maintenance to be concerning. I only learned about it the day before my stay through an email, which felt frustrating.nnAdditionally, I noticed that the room had a musty smell and seemed quite dusty, which may be a concern for anyone with allergies.nnOn a positive note, the breakfast was enjoyable and had a great variety. However, I would recommend exploring other options for a more comfortable stay.

We arrived early and reception let us do the paperwork early. When we arrived back late that evening, all we needed to do was to pick up the key. Both people at the reception desk were very friendly and helpful. Check out was a breeze.nnThe rooms were clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The heat in the room was nice. The hot water for drinks was nice to have, as well as the heated towel bar. I enjoyed the lotions, the shampoo, and conditioner. The location was nice, and the hotel was easy to find. We walked across the road to the grocery store for beverages and snacks.

Everything was fine. Reception staff were lovely. Bed and pillows were comfy, wifi and sky TV was good. Was a little noisey neighbors, traffic and automatic fan in bathroom. No heating as being renovated but small heater worked fine. A minus for me is not being able to vape on the balcony.

Really not worth the stay. We had to cut our trip short because of dirty bathroom and the room being so cold. I called reception and told the guy our heat pumps not working. He said I'll get somebody to fix it. He didn't call back then I did. Then he said oh the manager reset the heat pumps so use the portable heater. My kids were soo cold..I didn't want to create drama so we just packed up and left early without staying the night!
