Novotel Hamilton Tainui

This hotel had great staff. The service all round was excellent. All staff were friendly, helpful & efficient. The room was fine. The bathroom was particularly well designed. One of the better hotel bathrooms I've experienced. Hotels don't seem to be able to stop shower water flowing outside the cubicle...however this hotel has got it right. It was large and the water stayed contained. I loved the bodycare range also. Restaurant staff were amazing. Wonderful service. Eva stood out. She was so friendly and relaxed with a great smile, while looking after us well.

My stay at Novotel is really good. The check in and check out is simple. The reception team is really good. The rooms are spacious with all the essential amenities. I suggest to Keep more water in the room. Guest Laundry also really good. The reception staff are flexible enough to give coins and to add to my room for the laundry. Otherwise, I need to withdraw cash from ATM for this purpose. The gym is good. I used it daily. As the hotel is located on the riverside, you can have a great walk or run on the riverside. Overall a comfortable stay

We had a very rare evening away booked at the Novotel and were very much looking forward to our stay following a few recommendations on places to stay.nI had chatted to Susan Perry via email, and she was super helpful with regards to any questions for our booking but on arrival we found the staff at reception very lack luster and didn't feel very welcomed or like they cared re parking we asked questions about parking down by the river and they just laughed and didn't seem to care. When checking in no one told us if we wanted room service for breakfast the following day, we would need to pre order. My husband also went down to the restaurant to get me a coffee and no one acknowledged him and when he asked they gave him a menu and walked off so he ended up going across the road to a local cafe.nOn check out again the staff member that served us had an ear pod in her one ear and was dancing to music and we stood at reception for a good while before she even acknowledged us then stopped dancing. I'm all for people having fun but this was very unprofessional.nEspecially for what we paid for the night I just found the experience quite disappointing.nI have stayed at the QT in Auckland for less and the experience was amazing and a lot of this had to do with staff professionalism and feeling welcome.nnMaybe something to look at very unfortunate team.

We encountered a room issue, but the staff promptly resolved it by relocating us to another room. Overall, the staff was exceptionally supportive, and the restaurant team was friendly and always had a smile. We will definitely be back. Recommended for families with kids.

Beds were comfy. Room service was awesome. We ordered the beef brisket burger and cheeseburger and they were yum! the chips were so crispy too. Only gave a 4.5 star as it would have been handy to have free parking, but as we had to leave the hotel a couple of times it was very handy to have the valet parking available to purchase.
