Veterinary Specialists Aotearoa, Sylvia Park

Recently had to take my young cat in after hours after swallowing a foreign object. I was understandably stressed, and tried calling two other clinics who were unable to assist, but who recommended VSA. Fortunately VSA Sylvia Park were able to help. Dylan at reception was so helpful and kind on the phone. While we were in the waiting room I couldn't help but observe all his interactions were very professional. We saw the vet Ben Hart, who apologised for the wait and was very thorough in explaining treatment options. I was informed about the costs from the start, and was talked through different stages of intervention and associated costs depending if further treatment was needed. I appreciated that he checked in about any questions throughout and was able to answer questions factually. I didn't feel at any time there was any push to do or pay for anything, just genuine advice with associated risks explained thoroughly. Understandably the cost was higher compared to other vets, but it was after hours and specialists needed to come in so it was understandable. Overall, really happy with the staff and their treatment, explanations of procedures, and cost and treatment breakdown. I will be getting pet insurance now

Norman and I have been consistently going to VSA physio for over 5 and a half years. We have also been there for some specialist visits and have pretty much seen every veterinary person at the clinic. The physio staff here are like a second family to Norm. Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, considerate and treat my dog/s so well.nnThank you to Ashley, Hannah, Rachael and Aneta for all your treatment, support and guidance for my Norm.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the entire VSA team. Everyone here is incredibly kind and compassionate. I especially want to thank Dr. Weng for providing my dog with the utmost care and comfort in his final moments. She explained every treatment step in detail and supported us through an incredibly difficult time. Although my dog eventually passed away, I truly believe the doctors did everything they could. They gave him the best possible care and love at the end of his life. Thank you, VSA team, from the bottom of my heart.

I couldn’t rate VSA Sylvia Park high enough! The care, compassion & love they showed my girl was outstanding. Communication with us was awesome through her stay and we left with a thorough understanding of what next with lots of great information and reassurance. Thank you so much to such a great team xx Willow is happy to be home recovering.

We had to visit as our poor cat was very sick and as per usual, outside of normal hours. Staff were fantastic and very professional. We didn't take a wee boy home as he was too ill but they treated us with sympathy and total understanding. I really don't have words on how they treated us. Thank you Poppy
