I just want to write and say thank you to everyone at VSA Sylvia Park for getting my girl Ruby home safe and sound. I brought her in early in the morning on a Sunday with respiratory distress, while I was completely freaking out since she was having trouble breathing. From the moment I dropped her off to when I took her home, every single member of staff I talked to was incredibly helpful, caring and empathetic. Special thanks to Dr Faith, Dr Kathryn, Kiera and the other nurses/vet techs as well as the reception team that I've missed the names of.nnThey did everything that was possible to ensure Ruby was well taken care of, and when it looked like she would have to be put to sleep due to heart failure, they let me sit with her in the room until she fortunately recovered enough to take her home! A true Christmas miracle. She's doing much better now, and looking forward to her cardiology appointment next week. :-nnIf only human hospitals were this wonderful and well run, the world would be a better place.
My partner Phoenix and I just want to say a massive thank you for looking after phoenix's boy Gimpy in his final moments. Our vet Shannon I think her name was really made sure we were looked after during all of the hard debating of what would be best for Gimpy.nThank you so much.
We called to ask if we can take a sick pigeon in, they were so friendly and said no worries at all. So we took the pigeon in and they were so welcoming and kind. I don’t know what happened to pigeon but even if they put it down it would be better than slowly dying. I’m grateful we were able to take it here
I took our dog there after he experienced cluster seizures for 2 days, he was put in a small crate even though the staff knew he was having seizures. On the 2nd day when we went to visit him, he started to bark after a while nurse told us aswell, we were told to wait waited approx. 1 hour. When we were allowed to visit him the nurse told us he had fallen asleep once he starts barking it's hard to get him to sleep just like that so I believe they gave him medication to make him fall asleep, this left off guard with them, when he starts barking it would mean he's back to normal after his seizures. He passed away 2 days after getting him back, I'm not saying that he passed away because of that, it could be because he had experienced to many seizures but it could be a possibility but I don't understand why he was given medication after he was alert and fine, would not recommend, they just want your money.
The very best of care given to our much loved cat, who was extremely unwell when she was first brought in. The vets are all compassionate & wonderful communicators, we are very grateful for this wonderful service
