Turners Cars Otahuhu

We’ve just left Turners in Otahuhu and were extremely disappointed with the service. Throughout our entire visit, we were not greeted or asked if we needed any assistance. In a car sales environment, customer support should be a given, especially when staff are present and available. Despite several young staff members standing around at the counter, we were not approached even once. As a result, we looked around on our own and ultimately left. Very poor service, we’ve decided to take our business elsewhere.

Purchased a car from Turners Otahuhu, we were told it had a factory warranty until Feb 2026 and purchased a mechanical breakdown policy from them too, only to find out it has no factory warranty, and we have about $900 worth of servicing to get for our policy, had been in touch with a mobile business manager who had supposedly passed on our concerns to the regional manager, but nothing, no follow up from anyone. I expected more from such a well known company, but they have our money now, so why would they care. Would not recommend Turners to anyone, at least with a private sale you expect them to be dodgy and ghost you if there are issues.

We were at Turners Otahuhu yesterday from 10:30am till 5pm. 6.5 hours!nnWe came in after viewing a vehicle the day before and putting down a $500 cash bond to hold it. We also brought our own vehicle to trade in, which had previously been valued by Turners Penrose a few months before at $7k. Yesterday, that same vehicle suddenly dropped to $3.5k in value. After negotiating they increased it to $4.5k which still felt unfair.nnWhen questioned about the drastic drop, they claimed they couldn’t find me in their system for the earlier Penrose appraisal. That’s not my problem. Check your cameras or train your staff better.nnI asked them for a better deal for the vehicle that we wanted to purchase at $22,665 since our appraisal for our trade in car was disappointing. They dropped it to $22,165. After a long wait for “vendor checks,” they finally agreed to my final $22k.nnThe payment process was another nightmare. The QR code method failed 3 times, and after contacting our bank, we were told that no payment attempts even appeared, so it was clearly a Turners issue or whatever payment system they were using. Didn’t want to pay the 2% credit card surcharge. Why would I want to give away $350? A lot of back-and-forth.nnEventually, we were told to do a bank transfer, which was supposed to clear within an hour from what I was told. It took 2 hours.nnWe left feeling drained, frustrated, and disappointed. The whole process was disorganized, slow, and poorly handled for what should have been a simple transaction.nnThe only saving grace was Justin, who has been nothing but helpful, patient, and professional throughout. It’s not the first time we’ve bought a vehicle from Turners and Justin also assisted us last time but sadly, this experience has left such a bad taste that it may very well be the last.nnIt’s now been well over 2 days, and I’m still waiting for my $500 bond refund to be processed. They wouldn’t give my cash back. It had to be transferred.

Great service from Turners last week. Dropped in to see what I could get for my car. Had it sorted out at a price that was fair within half an hour. Tom was great to deal with, friendly guy, professional and on point through the whole process.
