Food was delicious and good atmosphere with amazing views over the city. I downgraded the service to 4 as there was quite a bit of wait for both clearing my table from the previous customers and also for the food...which was worth waiting for. A heaven for celiacs with freshly baked gf bread and good variety of gf food available Dietary restrictions: GF food available and delicious
Amazing relaxing view, good place to unwind alone or with friends and special someone. Not so sure about the service though, must be an early in the morning type of mood. Love the coffee, pie and quiche. Will definetely come back on sunny weather. Hopefully, the staff smile more..
Great view! Service could be a bit faster Edit: Second time around, much faster service even with a packed venue. The mustard aoli on the steak sandwich blew my mind, highly recommended. The French toast was great too.
It used to be one of my favourite cafes. The recent experience was almost a nightmigher. Ice coffee was just cold coffee with a lot ice blocks, no ice cream no cream. Too sweet as well. Staff were too busy to clean up table from last round even after we finished ours. What a pity
Exceptional food! My seafood chowder was full of an assortment of seafood, thick creamy and flavourful. I tried my friend's open omelette and it was fluffy and full of vegetables and feta cheese and quite substantial. The service was top notch considering it was the day after the terrorist attack and they were also low on staff. Views are always beautiful. A real Christchurch classic.
A great experience all around. Made a lunchtime reservation with special request for seating. Staff were so friendly & helpful. Even the owner/manager? who was immersed in paperwork had time for a smile & greeting. We both got caesar salads & they were exquisite. My coffee was perfect. THE VIEW was incredible over the city & to the mtns, I could see forever. I absolutely loved this place and will certainly be back.
top brunch spot in the lower stratosphere with postcard views on a clear day - top notch flat white - excellent seafood chowder brimming with marine goodies - service always pleasant & obliging - well worth the hike
I came here for a coffee and brownie, great coffee but the brownie was on the dry side though. Lovely views of Christchurch which is what makes it special here. It's clean and Overall a nice place to stop at for a quick or long stop
Amazing views over the city - if you’re lucky enough to nab a table by the window. The French Toast Sticks with banana, bacon and maple syrup were really good.
It's a dark day indeed. It is darkest before the dawn and Dusk is the death of The Cup's reputation. No garnish, no relish just rubbery eggs. The enthusiasm of the waitresses can't save this place.
