Beautiful cafe with a beautiful view! They have good variety in their food cabinet but they also have a few breakfast menu options too! Good coffee and lovely service! Both indoor and outdoor seating and reasonable prices on food/drinks. It can be a bit hard to get a park but 100% worth it. There’s also a quick walking track alongside the cafe to see Governors Bay!
A of the best cafe in Christchurch with a wonderful view. We went there on weekdays at noon. There were many people dining there but we could get seated. Food and service is good.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
The cafe is located at a beautiful spot in a Port Hill area. It has 60 minutes parking opposite to the cafe and few off street parking. It has nice outdoor and few indoor seating area. Public toilet also available. Its a beautiful spot to meet before and after most of the hike you can do around the area.
The view was beautiful, food was lovely but a little pricey, staff were very friendly and helpful It was nice to get away from the city for the morning. Would definitely recommend to others.Food: 4/5
Cafe in a historical building with a view. Ordered a latte, a berry milkshake and a savoury scone. Savoury scone with chutney was delicious. We also talked to the owner who was super friendly.Recommended dishesSavoury Scone
Arrived right on time for hot fresh dates scone ! Love it ! The food are great and the view is stunning. Love the atmosphere. Did not regret spending the trip up here for a breakfast before heading off for a road trip.Food: 5/5
Loved this place a lot, and glad I made the impromptu decision to visit it on the last day of my trip. The cafe is located at Summit Road, it is housed in one of the several rest houses there were built in the early 20th century. The cafe also faces the Dyer Pass Road, a winding road leading up to the mountain and very popular with both hikers and cyclists in a weekend which makes it a great spot to let time pass and observe the surroundings. If you are able to get seats on the higher ground, you could get a nice view of Christchurch and the mountains as well. The interiors itself is quite cosy and the best spots are the seats at the entrance. The food was delicious. I loved the breakfast "muffin" which is a delicious combination of pastry, eggs and bacon. The coffee's good too. If you are driving, the Summit Road carpark in front of the cafe has limited lots and gets filled up pretty quickly. While there is a 1 hr limit for the parking, cars tend to park a little longer than that. The cafe is also located at the junction where there is access to several hiking trails around. The easiest one would be the Sugarloaf Loop which could take an hour-hour plus. There is a toilet outside and bicycle parking available.
We went up there for a valentines date and it was absolutely fantastic. The chef was amazing. The staff were amazing. The coffee was amazing and the food was amazing and the views were amazing. Lots of things that were amazing
This restaurant is at the beginning of the hiking trail, and you can come here for lunch before hiking. There are many choices of drinks, food choices are not bad, and the service standard is quite high. The restaurant has both outdoor and indoor options. Indoors are a good choice if you are afraid of the sun. There are many mugs hanging on the wall in the restaurant, which is quite interesting. In terms of food, I ordered a hamburger and fries meal. The portion was quite large, and the taste and production level were good. You can give it a try.
Delicious date scone and coffee and hot chocolate. Not many gf cakes on view but the corn fritter stack was gf and delicious. Stunning views from around the cafe.Food: 5/5
